This is my first ever lighthearted thread! I've name changed for a fresh start after sharing details of past losses on here.

I'll hopefully be ovulating this weekend - it's just so hot. The conversation with DH this week has been along the lines of 'yes I want to but don't touch me unnecessarily- or maybe don't touch me at all!'

Ttc sex can be weird enough. But ttc in 35 degree heat is a whole other level!

We are doing the SMEP and he is having a cold shower before and after but last night it was too hot. So we missed day 3

Oh gosh yes I agree. Way too hot!! On my tww now so having a bit of a breather 😂.

😂😂 so true, I am 4/5 dpo and not holding out much hope this month because of that reason haha, only had sex once during fw because it's hotter than the sun

Lillybo14 SMEP is brave in this weather! Cold showers are def necessary. I'm trying to do every other day with a bonus one over the weekend.

We’re trying SMEP next month if no success this time. Might have to prepare ice lollies for afters!

Same here! Cold showers before and after otherwise I get hours of DH complaining how hot it is and stopping the limited chances of me sleeping. Not hopeful for this month either 😣

I'm in my tww, so luckily it's not effecting the trying part of the trying. I feel for you guys though. It sucks.

You guys are so funny. My husband doesn't like hot weather at all. I'm lucky I got two days in a row. But not hopeful for this month. To be honest it's our first month trying SMEP and I think 3 days on the trot is too much pressure

I found that the heat mixed with the I’m ovulating let’s get down to it attitude hardly cooked up a storm in the romance department shall we say.

My DH is pretty clueless as to when the best time to DTD is and is always up for it, so no performance anxiety for him lol. My cycle can be fairly irregular so just try and get as much coverage of my likely fertile window plus a few days. I don't OPK or anything as I think I'd find it too stressful. Greatful for any tips how to manage stress though as on cycle 6 and getting pretty disheartened 😕

DH resorted to wearing a wet t-shirt this month. Whatever works! 😂

Rancho 😂 it does take away the magic! Didn't have any peas but a bag of ice cubes made an appearance!

ChaosMoon - that's a great idea. Those facial mist sprays are great too. It's feeling far too much like an effort this month!

Luckily we seem to have avoided ‘needing’ to DTD in this unbearable heat, but due to start OPKs again at the weekend so fingers crossed it cools down a bit next week.

I’m happy to skip this month though TBH as we have a busy and child-free bank holiday planned in August and I’d like to be able to have a little drink. Will potentially be about 10DPO in the day my best friend gets married which wouldn’t be ideal.
