Very faint positive - worried

My period was due on Saturday but was a no show. On Tuesday first thing I took a clearblue test and got an extremely faint positive. I retested yesterday midday (couldn’t wait!) and got another very faint positive.
With my DS I got a strong positive once I was 3 days late so the very faint line has me worried. Does this mean the pregnancy isn’t going to last? Or that something’s gone wrong? Has anyone had a similar experience?

I’m having literally the exact same thing happening with me! Getting so worried xx

Hope things get resolved for you Bethany0903

Did another test today and still very faint. Going to try and get in to see docs.

When I had my miscarriage my lines were faint, they did get stronger but never as strong as the control line and then started to fade again before the bleeding started. But it really depends what test you're using, I only ever got faint lines on internet tests with my successful pregnancy. Maybe try one with a week's indicator and see if the numbers are right?

Oh sorry, missed they were clearblue! Never used them apart from the digital ones but I know some people say blue tests aren't very good.

The line being faint could be a number of things, urine being diluted after drinking, u could of conceived later in the month then you did your ds so hcg levels haven't risen enough or if your using a different brand test to last time it could be that, I had 2mc and the line was dark for both of them so I wouldn't take that as a bad sign try to wait a couple of days and retest... Also congratulations Smile

Yes, I’m afraid so. I had a faint positive that never got darker and then a blood test confirmed low pregnancy hormone levels, I started bleeding at about 10 days after my period would have been due. It was technically a chemical pregnancy. They are pretty common though, a lot of women don’t even realise they have conceived. Good luck though Flowers

Got docs app on Monday. Did a other test today - can’t seem to stop myself and it’s still very faint. I think as they’re not getting darker this could be a chemical pregnancy.

Maybe it is faint because of the level it reads. I read somewhere that Superdrug dips pick up smaller levels. Plus test with first wee. Good luck.

@Daydreaming87 what did the doctors say?

I’m 19 DPO with faint positives, started getting faint positives at 10 DPO so I know I didn’t just ovulate late. I think actually they have got a little darker but about 50% darker and still faint over over a week isn’t exactly promising. At this point I’m just waiting to bleed but it’s a very confusing limbo to be in.
