Am I right in thinking if temps stay high this is a high chance of pregnancy? Usually I'm a 29 day cycle but my ff app thinks I ovulated on day 29. Currently 10 days late for usual cycle AF. Temps are still high. First month temping! Any help? Tests including frer are negative. Gp says to wait another 2 weeks for either bfp or period! Going crazy here.

Also ff identify that as my ov day later after more temps put in! But by fluke we BD that day anyway!

I think it’s too early to say. The important thing is post ovulation temps, so while you might be 10 days late for your usual cycle, the chart shows you are only 10 days post ovulation. That is what matters, not when your period would have been be due if you ovulated at the normal time.

If this is your month, implantation will only be happening around now. You would expect to see temps still higher at 10dpo. Consistently high temps after your period is due would be a good sign but unfortunately I think you’re too early to read anything into it. The wait is agonising, I know. It’s a good chart though so fingers crossed!

Good luck!

@cas thank you for replying! Mumsnet is great for just talking to others who understand the frustration.

Do you use FF? As it said ovulation was CD 24 then moved it to CD29 as I continued to temp. It's my first month temping so just trying to understand if anyone else experiences this?

Thanks!

I’d wait four/five days for testing

If ff is right about your ovulation (and it’s not certain hence the fact that your crosshairs aren’t solid) then your period will be due in five days or so. So it’s too early too see if your temps are going to stay high or start to drop (which will indicate your period is on its way - although some people’s temps don’t drop until after af arrives so it’s not a reliable indicator until you have a better view of your own chart typical pattern)

You might find it becomes more accurate if you combine with monitoring CM and testing using OPKs! I agree, it looks a little early to be testing. Give it a couple of days!

I did use FF and found it really helpful but charts can be a mindfuck - the book Taking Charge of Your Fertility is brilliant at explaining it. Your chart is a bit erratic so it makes it hard to say for sure but I doubt your ovulation was day 24 given the low temps thereafter and think the app is right that day 29 is most likely.

Are you recently off hormonal birth control?

Thanks both! Yes I came off bc about 7/8 months ago. Been trying not to any tracking initially just relax and enjoy but with my DH shift work we now think tracking is needed to help us conceive! Will keep update one way or another!

Looks like I'm out. Looks like my AF is here. Bleeding when I wipe. I think it's already too heavy to be implantation bleeding Sad Guess I just ovulated late and therefore period due later. Cheers for your help!
