Concieve plus, pre seed, anyone tries these?

Hi everyone, I'm currently TTC baby no 2, AF just arrived yesterday so this will be the beginning of my 4th cycle of trying! Month 1 we just went with the flow dtd as much as possible and no luck, month 2 we used the clearblue OPK's, still no luck, and this month we just went with the flow again, I took evening primrose oil to try and boost my egg white CM (didn't really work) and still not pregnant so looking to try a new strategy next month. We are thinking of following the sperm meets egg plan along with the use of fertility lubes like concieve plus or pre seed. Anyone used these before? Would you reccomend them? Could my pretty much none existent egg white CM be the reason I haven't conceived yet? Also this month I got my period 5 days early so my usual 33 day cycle is now 28 days? And I had some spotting 3 or 4 days before full on AF started (thought it was IB then had my hopes dashed when I started full on bleeding last night) could the evening primrose oil have shortened my cycle? Could that have been the reason for all the weird spotting? Let me know, thanks ladies x

Also I know for some people 4 months barely is a drop in the ocean in their entire ttc journey and some people try for years, and I know it can take a healthy couple up to a year to concieve, but I am just so confused and frustrated as to why this hasn't happened yet? I am only 25 got pregnant in the first month of trying with my daughter and had a miscarriage early on in the year when we weren't even trying, in fact I took the morning after pill and still ended up pregnant?! So why isn't this happening for me now? I'm desperately just looking for answers because I just don't get why my body is failing me now?

I know it's easier to say when you're not going through it but it really isn't that long in the grand scheme of things, try not beating yourself up.

We used preseed and the first month we used it I got pregnant. Might be a total fluke but I'd recommend it.

Good luck xx

Ells0204 · 24/07/2018 18:16

I am in the same position, many people on here will say anything less than a year is nothing but god it’s tough isn’t it.

I’m 25 like you and am on my 7th cycle (MCd 3rd cycle), you think, I’m young fit and healthy what am I not doing?!

FYI the cycle I used Conceive Plus I got pregnant (MCd) didn’t use it since and had nothing but BFNs. Well this cycle I have used Conceive Plus again so fingers crossed! I never have EWCM just watery at best and I worry too that’s been my issue.

Keep pushing on and GL xx

We were trying for 6 cycles, used pre seed once on our 6th cycle and ended up with BFP. Can't say if it was the pre seed, or a placebo effect, or if it would have happened anyway, but I'd use it again 😊 good luck!

lillybo14 · 24/07/2018 19:07

We were trying for 7 months. First month using pre-sees and got a BFP

Treaclepie19 · 24/07/2018 22:27

We used pre-seed with my son and I think it helped. Using it again now but only on cycle one. I'll let you know in a few days :p

Readyfortheschoolhols · 24/07/2018 22:30

Used conceive plus and got a bfp third month ttc at 42!!

And three more times since but mc each time.
Age related not the lube!

Momma22 · 24/07/2018 23:02

Wow, it's really encouraging to hear all of your success stories. Will definitely be ordering some pre seed off amazon asap!

Can't just be a coincidence when all of you ladies had been trying for x amount of months, and then you suddenly get your BFP the month you use pre seed/concieve plus. Sounds like great stuff!

Thanks for all of your responses ladies xxx

Another vote here for it. Six months of trying with no success, then first month of preseed I got pregnant. Second time around we used it from the start and I got pregnant first try.

Momma22 · 24/07/2018 23:57

Is one better than the other or are they basically exactly the same thing? Having a nosey on amazon here, thinking I'll just go with which ever's cheapest

I used conceive plus and got pregnant on second month. I believe the lubes are formulated so as not to impede sperm progress (standard lubes have various gums as ingredients that make them harder to swim through). I think it’s a case of more lube, more comfortable sex (so more sex) rather than the lubes being a magical sperm superboosting medium.

Angelmiracle · 25/07/2018 00:15

I agree with PP. I don't think the loads are magical either. But 3rd month on PreSeed just as a lube not used internally and first month doing smep got bfp with no.2 last week!! We've been trying since DS who is now 5 and had just started fertility investigations!

Angelmiracle · 25/07/2018 00:16

Loads 🤣 》 Lubes

MrsCatCan2 · 25/07/2018 02:51

Great to hear the stories! We have been ttc for 6 months this will be our first cycle to use preseed 🤞🏼

Emelene · 25/07/2018 03:49

I got pregnant on our first cycle using conceive plus. I'd been trying for 3/4 months before that. Good luck OP. Smile

Momma22 · 25/07/2018 12:42

Well I purchased a tube of pre seed and a pack of 20 cheapy ovulation sticks off amazon last night. Totally get where @DryHeave and @Angelmiracle are coming from because I've yet to find any clinical evidence or studies to back up that this is some magical lube that WILL get you pregnant, but the reviews for this product kind of speak for itself. There's just so many success stories out there that I can't deny that there might be something to it, well it can't hurt to try it anyway. Wish me luck!!!

I didn't seem to have much EWCM and I got pregnant first try with both of mine using Preseed. I'm 10 weeks now with DC2. I never tried without it, so impossible to say if it was the Preseed that did it but it's worth a try. Good luck!

SpadesOfGlory · 26/07/2018 11:15

Gosh it's so hard to keep going month after month isn't it?! We conceived this month after 13 months trying!

What worked for us was actually tracking ovulation...I have irregular cycles, anything from 27 to 88 days. Had tests last month which showed nothing was wrong, so this month I bought Ovusense and realised I ovulated on day 33! I did use conceive plus for a few months but nothing happened. This month I used preseed (But not around ovulation as we were on holiday and forgot it). I didn't really notice any EWCM so it's obviously not entirely necessary. Dtd 2 days before and day of ovulation and that seems to have done the trick!

Darkstar4855 · 26/07/2018 12:43

I used it for five months, then forgot and that was when I got pregnant! I think it’s helpful if you don’t have much mucus or need a lubricant anyway but I don’t think it’s the miracle the reviews make it out to be! Good luck.

SunshineAndRainbows6 · 27/07/2018 09:41

I used Concieve plus on our 3rd cycle and feel preganant first time using it.... I'm now 7 weeks along!!

Good luck ladies 🎉🤞🏻

HushabyeMountainGoat · 27/07/2018 09:45

We used preseed and I got pregnant straightaway. Never tried without though so i can't say if it was a fluke or not!

Momma22 · 27/07/2018 11:13

Thanks for sharing all of your stories ladies. Can't wait to try it now! Hopefully this will be my month!

I've got some pre seed I bought before and never gave a go so I might try it now....

Momma22 · 27/07/2018 13:11

@sunshine1987 let's hope it works for us 🤞 I have little to now egg white cm, when I first started ttc and did my research and heard all about egg white cm I was a bit puzzled because I'm pretty sure I've never had that in my life! Maybe that's one of the factors as to why I'm not pregnant yet. We shall see what happens this cycle with pre seed ...

sunshine1987 · 27/07/2018 13:16

@Momma22 there are special vitamins you can take to increase CM, I did this and really worked. Off the top of my head it's evening primrose oil

Momma22 · 27/07/2018 13:27

@sunshine1987 I took evening primrose last cycle, it did absolutely nothing for me. Still no egg white cm, still not pregnant. In fact I think it might have played havoc with my cycle my usual 33 day cycle suddenly went down to 28, and I had spotting at 5dpo and 7dpo, thought it was implantation bleeding but obviously not, could have had something to do with he evening primrose oil but it might not? Anyway I'm not going to take anything this month besides folic acid, don't want anything interfering with my body's natural cycle.
