Faint Positive Lines - then gone! Am I crazy?

Hey all!

My partner and I have been TTC for about 2 months. No regular period so no way to know where I am in my cycle. Started experiencing symptoms (bloating, white discharge, nausea, but no bleeding) this past weekend. Took two tests a day apart and got two faint positive lines, one stronger than the other. Then I took another test today and nothing at all.

We really, really, want to conceive so we are trying to stay calm but I am frustrated that the line is just gone! Any advice on how common this is? Thx!

fionamariahernandez · 23/07/2018 20:09

The first two were, the one today wasn't. I'm sure that has something to do with it....

If they were clear blue I wouldn't trust them.

The first two were First Response, the one from today was clear blue

I had this last month, faint on first response, nothing on clear blue, not until I was 2 days late! I am 6 weeks now, but agree with pp I don't trust clear blue!

Cresentmooned, how faint was your first test?

Here is a photo of the darker one of mine. What do you think?

Looks positive to me! Would try again tomorrow with FMU. Could just be too early for the clear blue tests.

cresentmooned · 23/07/2018 21:39

Mine was fainter than that! Clear blue just couldn't pick it up until much later. Def do first response again and see what happens. Clear blue are known to not be so sensitive.

frasier · 23/07/2018 21:42

Oooh try again tomorrow OP!

leanne9312 · 23/07/2018 21:46

That looks positive to me however I would test again in morning to be sure, good luck

fionamariahernandez · 23/07/2018 23:26

Thank you all! I will try again tomorrow and let you all know.

I'm just so nervous and excited, it's wonderful to hear all of your support. 😭😭😭

Have any of you ever seen where a test was that faint and was not positive?

www.mumsnet.com/Talk/conception/2484961-The-myth-of-Evap-lines

This is a good thread about evap lines and basically says that if there's colour to the line it is a positive test and not an evap. The only way you can know is to test again though. Your HCG should be increasing really quickly if the pregnancy is viable so you should see a stronger line and less sensitive tests picking it up soon enough.
