unruptured follicle after miscarriage - anyone had this?

hello - had a miscarriage in Feb. All was OK at the 8 week scan so we were jumping for joy only to swing the other way 10 days later when its heart stopped beating.
Still haven't had a period & my Gynae gave me a course of progesterone to try & kick start one to no avail. Before I started it, had a scan which showed an unruptured follicle on the right hand side. Just feeling bit low as 'losing'time to get on and conceive again...the year is floating by...
Anyone else had this?

Sorry to hear about your miscarriage. Dont really know about unruptured follicles but I know that your hormones can be out of balance after a miscarriage - it took me nearly 6 months to get back to normal but at least if you're getting treatment they might be able to help you get back to normal quicker. I know how frustrating it is when you are wanting to conceive again, I had 2 miscarriages before having DS1, then had DS2, DS 3 and now another miscarriage. Hope things work out well for you.

Hello DubaiDiva. I had a mmc in Feb as well. I had a scan at 7 and a half weeks and everything looked fine too. I had twins and both had heart beats. But when I went for the 12 week scan both had died shortly after the last scan. I had drugs to induce a mc and although the mc was complete, I've had some problems since.

I had a period 31 days after the mc, but at that time I was still getting positive pregnancy tests, so I don't know if I ovulated that month. Since then I've had regular-ish periods, but they've been very long (last month I was bleeding for 14 days out of a 28 day cycle). I've just had some blood tests and they came back normal. Also my last period was much more normal, so I'm hoping things are finally settling down.

I'm afraid I don't know anything about unruptured follicles. I think that lfm is right, it does take a while for hormones to settle down after a mc. I am desperate to get pregnant again, as I'm sure it's the only thing which will make me feel better. And it's unbearably frustrating not conceiving. I know just what you mean about the year floating by. I've had probably the worst 3 months of my life and I feel that things won't get any better until I get pregnant again, which could take months.

Sorry I'm not more upbeat. I just wanted to say, I feel exactly the same.

Hello Ifm & jess - thanks very much for your posts, & sorry to hear you've both had miscarriages, Guess its true re the hormones being out of balance. I saw my Gynae yesterday & the right ovary is enlarged 'trapping'the egg so am going for an MRI Scan on Sunday....and then start 28 days of oestrogen. It can be a real effort to stay positive can't it? & frustrating, I just want to get pregnant ASAP like you do Jess but hey these things can't be planned can they? I'm an Event Organiser (Exhibitions) & get wound up as usually the more planning I do the better the result but I'm having to learn that its not like that is it with pregnancies etc...
Keep smiling. Thinking of you both fom 3000 miles away!
