Anyone had an ERPC? How long did it take for your periods to be back to normal?

Had an ERPC om 21st June. Wasn’t really told or given an approximate time scale for my period to start.

I was just wondering what every one else experiences were. I’ll be 5 weeks post op this Thursday.

I’m sorry for your loss Flowers

It took me just over seven weeks. I hope it isn’t much longer for you.

Thank you. I haven’t ovulated yet, I always know when I’ve ovulated as I get pains so I’m guessing that I’ll ovulate then start my period 2 weeks later.

It took around six weeks for me I think. I got ovulation symptoms about a month after the procedure.

Sorry for your loss.

I’ve had three, and after the two at 8 weeks my period came back bang on four weeks and I ovulated again on the first cycle. After my last one though it took four months for me to ovulate again, although I was having periods.

I think it’s different for everyone.

Assuming ERPC was day 1 my period came on day 25, which was very surprised about because I’d only had one period before that in the two years since my DS.

When did you get a negative pregnancy test?
For me, mine was pretty much instantly negative after the ERPC but that’s because I’d naturally miscarried mostly and there was just some retained product, so prior to ERPC my pregnancy tests were very, very faint anyway. As far as I know, the cycle can only begin once your body knows you’re not pregnant and for some people it can be a week or two so you add a few weeks delay on to the cycle at least.

Well, my period arrived a couple of days ago!

Oh my word! I have never known anything like it, so heavy and actually quite painful too. It's 11:11 and since I woke up at 7:30, I've been through 4 pads and 3 tampons already. I didn't realise it would be like this - I'm used to heavy periods but this is ridiculous.

Oh yes, I have found all post-pregnancy periods incredibly heavy for at least two days. I’ve needed tampons and pads, and hanger hourly. They are most unpleasant and seem all the worse considering what we’ve been through and the fact they are a constant reminder we aren’t pregnant. Flowers

@SpottingTheZebras I've had early M/C which have been lighter than this! And yes, it's awful.
