I have another thread but it's in the wrong place.

I'm being investigated for breast cancer and going for tests this week at the clinic.

I've not felt well and did a test this afternoon not fmu. And got 2 positive tests. I ovulated around 28th June and had unprotected sex on the 2nd July. I then had a v v v v v heavy period last week 11th-16th July with clots and flooding.

It's worth noting I did a pregnancy test on the day my period arrived and it was very negative. Wtf is going on? Am I pregnant? How pregnant can I possibly be?

If this test for breast cancer is positive will they make me get an abortion?

Really hope you are ok going through such an awful thing. Id say your 3-4 weeks pregnant if your unsure ring doctor and explain situation and they will do blood tests to look at level of hcg and maybe scan to date you properly xx

Now just thinking about bleeding and clots thats confusing. Could you of already been pregnant previously and had a miscarriage? X

Fattygettingthin · 22/07/2018 15:30

@xJune88 it really is confusing isn't it? :( I haven't got a clue what's going on!

I would speak to the doctor and they can do your bloods and monitor if hcg is going up or down. Take care of yourself xx

Are you on any medication that could affect a pregnancy test result? Some medications can affect hormones and give false positives. I was reading that in the instructions whilst taking a pregnancy test this morning.

Hope alls well with your tests xx

Hello and sorry to hear what you are going through. Is it possible that the heavy bleed you had could have been a miscarriage? Because some of the pregnancy hormone may still be being detected and that’s why you’re getting positive tests. I would advise that you speak with your doctors ASAP so they can do some tests on your pregnancy hormones. If they start to rise over a few days then you are still pregnant but if they’re dropping then I would say it’s probably a miscarriage. Hugs to you xx
