Annoying myself with testing

AF due in 3 days. Dpo 11.

I dont want to think what ive spent on tests. Its so frustrating tje disappointment when its negative

But im doing it to myself.

Im hormonal, bloated and cramping so likely AF onway.

Next month no testing!!!!

It's so much easier said than done isn't it! I still do the odd test every now and then (I'm 12 weeks next mon!!)

I suppose the best thing is to try and wait until af is due as the earlier you test the more likely you are to be disappointed.

Get some internet cheapies. Ebay or Amazon, they work just as well. I got my positive with this baby at 11dpo with one.

I feel you OP 😩 Also 11dpo, lots of faint positives which could definitely be disputed. God knows how many tests I've peed on at this point & how much it's cost! Drives you mad doesn't it? On the brain constantly, googling... Buggar off weird brain! Hope you have a more controlled month next month! 🙈👍🏼

Hi ladies. When is the earliest you can test? I’ve read so many different things. I’m 4 days dpo and hoping to test 6 days before AF which is Thursday next week. Am I setting myself up for disappointment? Not sure I’ll be able to control myself by then. Lol. x

Langpants thats what frustrating ne as testd say up to 6 days before Af.

I think everyone is different from what ive read on here some with positive results got them days before AF some had to wait until after AF.

Im due AF monday but im not testing anymore can feel AF coming

@Langpants I've been wondering the same thing. I'm on cycle 1 so not sure how I'm going to be able to resist testing at 5-6 days early?!

Eek. Sounds sensible Rosegold. My tests are sat in the corner taunting me though. Not sure I will be able to wait too long. I’ve promised myself just the one test 6 days before. I can’t be held accountable for the many times I’ll most likely test after that! 😂

I tested again this morning Af due tomorrow. Big strong negative!

Well my tests are done. Buying no more.

The disappointment is horrible. I wonder if anyone had clear negatives up to day before period and 13dpo and then got postitive after AF was late?

Im due tomorrow and all signs are there AF will appear.

Definitely buy a batch of Internet cheapies for next time, they’re pennies each so it doesn’t feel so wasteful!
I got a BFP at 8dpo with an Internet cheapie.

Absolutely same here and I really don’t know why I do it to myself - not due until Wednesday and I’ve tested already too many times since Friday ffs!!!! . Gutted you got bfn but it really isn’t over until AF makes an appearance x

Oh my god this is me ....8 DPO today and AF due 7 days.....tested with a CB 6 days early test this morning. Need to stick to the ICs....

When the tests say 6 days before your period they are basing it on a standard 14 day luteal phase. Implantation usually happens at 6-12dpo so for a test to pick up at 8dpo (6 days before) you would have to have implanted at the first likely implantation day (6dpo) as it takes a couple of days for the hcg to rise enough to be detected. So just because its possible for the test to pick up a pregnancy at that stage, the test may say negative right up to your expected period if you implant at the later end of the scale. Better to wait until at least 11/12dpo before testing if you want to test early!

Oh god I hear you! I'm not due til Monday and I've tested twice today 2 x BFNs obviously. I have one FRER left and I want to wait til Friday at least but I know I'll end up POAS first thing tomorrow... I don't know why I do it to myself!! I'm only cycle 3 and already doing my own head in

I wee on a lot of sticks. I have a real problem!! I came off the pill 6 weeks ago and have probably used 20 tests already
All negatives which im not at all surprised at but i can't help it! I've not had a period except for about 2 hours of period 4 weeks ago.
