Faint positives viable pregnancy? Photo

Hi. Hope you can help. I've been having faint positives since around 8dpo. I'm 11dpo & they don't seem to be getting much darker. I'm concerned this might be a chemical, or do you think this could be normal for before your period is due? Thanks in advance Smile

Normal before period is due. This is why all tests even the early ones say you should try and wait until period is due. Looks positive to me though so good luck x

Thanks @pipeup with my previous pregnancy I had no clue so didn't test until probably after my period so got a clear positive & a digi. Didn't realise how easy I had it that time! Lesson learnt will not ever test early again 😂

Have you used a FRER?

beautifulblue · 20/07/2018 11:29

2 days ago I used a FRER & got the faintest squinter, fainte than the CB. They were really hard to get hold of so haven't got anymore, but I've had +'s on about 6x clear blues now so I know they can't all be wrong just worried about the progression.. also had a faint positive on a pink dye yesterday but not a FRER.

Those looks different to the usual frers- do you have a boots nearby? The reason I ask is if you’re getting positives like this a frer would be very dark. As for worrying about ‘line progression’ I would step away from the tests. It seems to be a fairly recent thing to want to see lines get darker but for now, you’re pregnant! Don’t keep testing because hcg can fluctuate and the tests are not always as sensitive as each other even the same brand. Congratulations x

@redrose it wasn't a FRER just a cheapie pink dye with another faint line. The FRER line was practically non existent not worthy of a photo but I could see a total squinter on it but then the lines are super skinny on those anyway! You're 100%, I need to stop being crazy & step away from the tests! I have no tests left in the house now & wont get any until Monday (AF is due) thanks so much Smile
