Back story - after 4 months TTC had early miscarriage at 5 weeks in December, pregnant again next cycle but a MMC diagnosed in February with resulting SMM at around 10 weeks. Was over the moon to be preg so quick after the previous miscarriage and the timing was perfect as I’m a teacher so would finish for summer and then start maternity in September. However my body had other ideas.

Meanwhile, bought a house out of London near to parents as was always going to move back and was planning to move and be settled before September and not go back to job.

I naively thought I would get pregnant quickly after the MMC as I had done previously, however remaining products meant my cycle took ages to get back to normal so have actually only had 3 cycles since. Was convinced this cycle had worked but alas just come on my period.

However, I am now stuck in my job and have to give a whole terms notice to leave so definitely can’t leave until Xmas now but I am looking at 90 minute commute each way and have to be at work by 8 and there are almost weekly late night events. Even if I was to get pregnant this is going to be a lot to take on with a very full on job too.

So, do I just keep plodding along trying to get pregnant and stay at the job? Do I hand in notice at the start of summer term and look for another job closer to new house? My issue is it would be Sod’s law to then get pregnant so I would essentially be pregnant and jobless. I know nobody can decide for me but I am just really in need of advice from people who kind of understand the mindf**k that is TTC.

Thank you so much x

I can't offer any advice on what you should do but I do believe everything happens for a reason so if you did hand your notice in and became pregnant, things always have a way of working themselves out. Hope you get things sorted x
