Ovulation day!

So I’m 14 days into my cycle and today was supposed to be my ovulation day. I’ve logged a negative OPK (which I have been doing since day 9, all negative) and my period app has changed my ovulation day to the 19th July!

I know this might be a stupid question but has anyone ovulated on the 16th or more day of their cycle?! I have a 28/29 day cycle so didn’t think it’d be that late.

It could be your luteal phase is shorter. Mine is 12 days. A luteal phase under 10 days might suggest a problem. Have you come off contraception recently?

@Emilyt1 when you ovulate can vary month by month - but generally your lute phase (time from ovulation to period is the same). This month I ovulated cd18 but last month cd24! Even though last month i ovulated almost a week late, my period then came exactly 14 days after (much to my annoyance as I was after a bfp!!)

@venusstarr This is my first month properly using ovulation tests so it may be shorter or I maybe won’t ovulate. I stopped getting the depo injection a year ago and my periods returned in January but they were very irregular. The last two months have been back to normal but no positive opk yet!

@firsttimer16 thank you! Hopefully once I ovulate I’ll know around what time I’m due to each month. It’s so frustrating isn’t it! Fingers crossed next month will be a bfp 🤞
