Clearblue OPK ttc depo injection, help!

Hi all,

I was on the depo injection for three years and have been off it for a year now. My periods started again 6 months ago and was irregular but they’ve been regular for the last two months.

I’m on my 5th day of a flashing smiley face using the clear blue OPKs and I’m driving myself crazy thinking I’m not going to get a solid smiley and worrying that I might not reach peak fertility/ ovulate.

Has anybody else had a similar experience?

Hi -Last month CB opk went from empty circle to solid smiley with no flashing smiley! This month had 3 flashing smileys was driving me crazy. Had EWCM the 3rd day so I done another CB opk at 9pm got the solid smiley! Try testing AM and PM in case you have a short surge and miss it. I ovulated 3 days later as a result. In tww now

Congratulations! I had another flashing smiley this morning so starting to think I’m not going to ovulate this month. Will still keep trying though and won’t be buying any more CB OPKs as they’re driving me insane.

@Emilyt1 I'm currently 39 weeks, and with this pregnancy, I had around 8-9 flashing smilies! I can definitely recommend testing in the evening too, as the solid smiley first appeared in the evening. Even so, I didn't get my hopes up, as by then I was a good few days beyond CD14, but lo and behold I got a BFP! Good luck!

@flatwhite32 thank you! I will keep trying in the hope of getting a solid smiley! I’m definitely going to start testing PM too. Congratulations :) is this your first pregnancy?

It's my second pregnancy, but my first to get this far (lost my first at 12 weeks. Found out at the 12 week scan sadly). With my MMC pregnancy, I got a solid smiley early on in my cycle, whereas with this one it was much later! Just goes to show no two cycles are identical. Hope you get your solid smiley soon.
