BFP today but a little bit worried!

Hi all. My period is two days late now and I’ve had a few symptoms this week. Then after retching at the smell of bacon cooking this afternoon I decided to take a test. Over the moon as I’ve got a BFP! This is first month TTC DC1 so I know I’m incredibly lucky.

Because the line is so strong on the FRER I thought the line would be a bit stronger on the internet cheapie? The internet cheapie is 10 miu. My question is, is this normal and what you’d expect to see or would the line usually be stronger? The line on the cheapie took around 3 mins to appear, looked like it was going to be negative at first. The line on the FRER appeared in about 20 seconds.

I know I shouldn’t be worrying so soon but I’ve got quite bad cramping and pressure like AF is coming. I know mild cramping is normal but I wouldn’t describe this as ‘mild’ as it stops me in my tracks sometimes, but I’ve been having the pains for nearly two weeks now! I’m hoping it’s just my body welcoming what is hopefully a sticky bean.

I’ve attached a pic x

Looks very normal to me. I found the cheapie ones often were light. Congratulations! The cramping feelings are also normal over the coming weeks as things begin to stretch. All the best for a smooth pregnancy. Flowers

FRER is more sensitive, so not surprising that has a darker line to the cheapie. Re your pain it's impossible to say. I found early pregnancy pain a bit different to imminent period pain, but can't really explain how. Fingers crossed for you tho

Thank you both!

Cheapies don’t get much darker than that! They don’t have much dye in them.
