Ovulating after contraception???

I came off the pill (Yasmin) 3 months ago (ish) after 8 years to TTC, I had a withdrawal bleed and have had 2 “normal” periods, the first cycle lasting 29 days then the second lasting 30 days. I wasn’t concerned initially, but both these periods have been a bit heavy the first day, but mostly like a light to dark pink colour, then stopped on the 3rd day. I’m worried that I may not be ovulating? I know it can take time for your body to return to normal after being on contraception, and I was only 16 when I started taking the pill, we’ve waited to try for a baby until we were settled in our house and I’m worried now that something may be wrong and the pill has been hiding it? Maybe I’m being silly, should I just visit my GP and express my concern or do these cycles sound normal and that I might actually be ovulating? It’s stressing me out a bit now :( thank you xx

Those sound like perfectly normal cycles it's prob strange going from withdrawal bleeds to actual periods. It took me 18 months ttc DS so I wouldn't worry until you're ttc over 12 months or 6 if over you're over 35. Take a good preconception multivitamin for both of you with folate(folic acid) and vitamin D. Good luck keep up regular dtd. If concerned about ovulating try some cheap opks from Amazon??
