Hi everyone, I am willing to hear that I am being stupid/ dramatic.
I am four days late on my period, I am never late. I had some spotting about 2 weeks ago that is abnormal for me too and was examined and my cervix looks ok but I'm booked in for a colposcopy.
However I am sterilised ( with clips). I had it done during my fourth c section 10 months ago. During the procedure the doctor was telling me that she had to try the clips numerous times before they stayed on as my tubes kept bleeding and they were coming off. I know the chances are second to none but I can't believe I'm even considering buying a pregnancy test after having my tubes done. Holding out to the weekend I think.

It’s not impossible. Sterilisation during c section is lsss successful than when done as a separate procedure as everyone is swollen/enlarged in pregnancy and gradually shrinks down to normal size meaning the clips or whatever it is they use to sterilise can become loosened. Just buy a test to put your mind at rest.

Thank you for your reply. I think I'm going to give it till Sunday maybe and then do a test to rule it out.

Did you retest?

Chocolatecoffeeaddict · 15/07/2018 17:12

I've done two tests and both negative. I feel very bloated, tender stomach and boobs. Not sure what's going on as this isn't normal for me, I'm sure the sterilisation has messed my body up.

If your period is still a no show in one week's time I would test again. Regardless of the results of that test I would make an appointment with your GP. If the clips have slipped you have an increased risk of an ectopic pregnancy and it can take a while for your HCG to become detectable with a urine test.
