Implantation bleeding?

So I’ve noticed a few threads of implantation bleeding but they didn’t quite answer what I’m going through, here’s hoping someone can offer some guidance :)

Okay, so I had unprotected sex on 29 June, my period was due on 7 July and it started on this date, or at least I think it did! I wiped brown discharge which is not uncommon, so I wore a liner and then after that nothing really happened for 5 days. I continued to have a little bit of brown discharge and that’s it. No other regular period symptoms that I usually have and then on the 6th and 7th day everything stopped. I was convincing myself I’d become pregnant, but then today, I had really bad achy cramps, like the start of my period, and whoosh! Red bleeding, really heavy, and I feel really tired and achy from it.
So now I don’t know whether I should take a pregnancy test later as I was planning on doing one since the discharge had stopped, but now I’m bleeding heavily, does this mean I’m definitely not pregnant? Is it possibly implantation bleeding too?

What happened cat? did you take a test?

Thanks eggandspoonrace. I decided not to test and see what happened with my bleeding. It stopped after 2 days, and I still don’t feel right, as if my body is still on my period, but it’s all stopped. So will take a test tomorrow and report back! My periods have never been so erratic. 5 days of brown spotting, 2 days off, 2 days of bleeding, 1 day of brown spotting. Testing will put my mind at rest at least!

Hi Cat, I've had a similar experience but can't answer your query....
We started TTC early June. Prior to this my periods were regular, 28 day cycle and only symptoms were a few cramps. I came off the pill in December 2017 and expected that my body would take time to adjust but all seemed ok.
Since June however (and it may be a coincidence that it coincided with TTC) my cycle has changed to 25 days and both in June and July I had nausea, headaches and dizziness after ovulation. A week before my period I had daily spotting followed by a bleed that would last one day. In June my symptoms disappeared after the bleed but this month I still feel dizzy and nauseous..... don't know what's going on.......

I had implantation bleeding with both dcs. It was bright red spotting. Only enough for a panty liner. I hope that helps. Probably best to take a test.

Things still don’t seem right so most definitely taking a test later. Had awful lower back pain since yesterday, and all day so far today. Plus now I’ve had brown discharge again and achy stomach, feeling lethargic like I’m coming on my period again.
Will let you know the outcome xx

Negative result! Which is the outcome I wanted. So I don’t know what’s going on with my body.. ? But at least I’ve ruled out pregnancy which has put my mind at rest.
