Hi, I'm a long time poster.

I have PCOS and DH has poor sperm motility.
This month I was sure I ovulated on CD 10, by opk sticks. Yet my
CM didn't go away and I've done another one each day and they were all faded, I did one today with SMU and one early evening and got almost the same result. I'm CD 16, have I messed it all up all these months?

Can anyone help at all please?

That OPK is not positive, is that what you are asking? Sorry not sure of your question 😊💐

IamPamShipman · 12/07/2018 20:56

Sorry, I know it's not positive but they are suddenly getting darker after disappearing since they were positive before on CD10

Oh I see, you may not have ovulated the first time, perhaps your body is gearing up to try again. Keep testing to see xx

NoNotheresnolyrics · 12/07/2018 21:19

Also my mate has PCOS and her doctor told her not to bother with OPKs as they aren’t recommended for people with PCOS xxx

IamPamShipman · 12/07/2018 21:22

Ah our consultant said to keep using them as my cycle is mostly regular in length

IamPamShipman oh that’s good! Perhaps your bodies trying to ovulate again this cycle then xxx

Checking your Body Basal Temperature and seeing a drop would confirm you’ve actually ovulated. Google “Duofertility”. - it’s a monitor for checking BBT and they’re’s lots of info on their website. In certain circumstances and depending on your medical history they used to offer a refund if you didn’t fall pregnant within 12 months.

I have PCOS and it took me 8yrs to get pregnant, I used ovulation tests but not in isolation. I used temp, cervical mucous etc too
I found this book really helpful on my journey to pregnancy and I'd wished I'd found it sooner

Taking Charge Of Your Fertility: The Definitive Guide to Natural Birth Control, Pregnancy Achievement and Reproductive Health: The Definitive Guide to ... Pregnancy Achievement and Reproductive Wealth https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/0091887585/ref=cmswwrcppapi_qL7rBbKK85Y3B
Good luck

@IamPamShipman Hi I have PCOS also. I didnt use opks for long time as not supposed too but after an internal ultrasound and although HSG gynae said my uterus and ovaries looked good!! And I have fairly regular period. This month I bought the ic opks started testing earlier than previous 2 months. Day 10 also got a really dark line but I'd no ovulation pain or cm of any kind so kept testing couple of times per day. Cd15 started using CB advanced opks you use fmu. It tests for estrogen increase before your LH surge (with a flashing smiley face) I got 3 days of this but tested 9pm with the CB 2nd time on Friday and it showed peak fertility!! The test line was as dark as the control but 3 opks from that day had gotten darker just not as dark. You may ovulate soon!

Angelmiracle · 12/07/2018 22:51

although

Angelmiracle · 12/07/2018 22:53

I meant the 3 ic opks didnt get as dark 🙈

IamPamShipman · 13/07/2018 16:45

Thank you @Angelmiracle, it sounds like our cycles and our PCOS is very similar

IamPamShipman · 13/07/2018 20:15

I see something. Get a FRER and test with FMU!

Good luck!

IamPamShipman · 23/07/2018 20:49

Thank you, I asked dh to get some on way home- I used cb as frer seem to be as rare as...: well anything around here!

I have couple of fb digis in the drawer but I'm so scared to waste them!

OP posts:
NoWordForFluffy · 23/07/2018 20:57

Yeah. No digis yet, save those for the weekend if you can!

Amazon sell FRER if you're desperate (and have Prime!)

IamPamShipman · 23/07/2018 20:59

Ill let him try Asda, I so need to be more patient!

OP posts:
NoWordForFluffy · 23/07/2018 20:59

Asda's own early test is pink dye and alright!

IamPamShipman · 23/07/2018 21:19

I'll try it :-) if hey don't have them x
