Blue dye test dilemma ?BFP?

Hello,

I'd like your advice please as I'm driving myself and OH nuts here.
Last cycle I had a CP but AF came on time on CD27. This cycle I had about 4 LH surges by CD30 so I gave up OPKs at that point, not knowing what's going on. This is CD57 for me, a month overdue on AF. Last week I started getting sore boobs, thought AF was on her way. Friday/Saturday I noticed pinkish CM on wiping and had two brown drops of blood when I went to the loo, assumed it was AF starting but nothing. On Monday I did a Clearblue Easy HPT (+ sign one). It came up with a faint but clearly visible, thick line. Since then I (the POAS addict I am) did loads more HPTs and OPKs. All blue dye tests (2 different brands) have clear distinct thick second lines, albeit faint, while pink dye tests (including FRER) only have extremely faint, barely visible, mostly greyish lines, if any. Out of curiosity I also did some OPKs and they've all been consistently darker than at ovulation. I am aware of the bad press blue dye tests get that's why I'm wondering whether this could be my BFP? What do you think? Is it possible that blue dye tests are actually more sensitive? xx

They're not more sensitive, they're more prone to evap lines. Impossible to say if they could be positive without pics tho. Wait a couple of days and do a pink one with FMU?

Do a cb digital and then you'll know for sure! If your getting lines on blue dyes you should be fine with a digital. Good luck I hope it's definitely a bfp for you 🙂

Thank you for your replies.
Kitkatsky - I have done loads of pink dye tests and they mostly have very very very faint lines, some of them barely visible, nothing on some brands. All (10+) the blue lines I've done are positive, though, 3 different brands. I will post a pic as soon as I figure out how to :) In the meanwhile, opks have been positive all week and they keep getting darker every day.

BoBo - Do you think so? I've been sitting on my CBD for quite a while, always thought I'd wait for a convincing pink line before giving it a try but you may have just given me the push I need to go for it :)

I am spending a fortune on tests lol. When I was ttc 10+ years ago I never got any confusing results, didn't even hear about evaps or false positives...

Before you do the digital can you upload some pics of your tests? We can tell you if we think they are definitely positive and then you won't waste the test 🙂

It's so easy to waste spend all your money isn't it! I'm a fellow poas addict 😂
