First period after early miscarriage - help

I had an early miscarriage last month. I calculated if everything wasn't too out of whack that I would be due my first period after around now. Since Monday I've had pink/brown when I wipe on a morning only, with a few aches and then yesterday eve I got all the horrible cramps I usually get with a period. Probably worse than normal. That lasted around 8 hours. But there isn't any blood. Is this normal?? I really just want to close it and try again but no bleeding makes me wonder if everything is normal.

Hi, sorry to hear you've had an mc. My first period after was super light. I just wore a panty liner as there really was hardly anything so I think it's totally normal. I got my bfp on cycle 3 after the mc whereas it took a year before so it can happen more quickly as you are likely to be more fertile thanks to the hormones.
Wishing you all the best on your ttc journey xx

Thanks @BoBo90 you've made me feel a little better. From a tracking point of view, do I consider it to be a period starting from when the pinkish/brownish stuff appeared or from yesterday when I had the crazy cramps? I honestly hate not knowing where I am.

The doctors said fertility may have a little boost, so we are keen to try. The last one took us 7 months, but to be honest, it was the first month I tried pre-seed and did ovulation tests.

i would count from the pinkish stuff unless you start having a proper bleed. But maybe dtd for a bit longer to cover a bigger fertile window just to be safe. The not knowing is very frustrating!
Fx for a bfp this cycle 😊

@lillybo14 I’m guessing from your last post that your period was fairly heavy? I’m just starting mine and I’m in awe of how cushty my womb must be when it’s in it’s prime! I’m worried that there is wayyyy too much blood coming out rn. How long did yours last and was it super heavy in the end?

Oh bless you x

Very heavy and the bleeding lasted 5 days. The pain was worse as well and painful before bleeding. they say to be concerned if you are having to change every two hours? How are you doing? X
