Hi everyone.
New here & to all of this.
Our first month TTC & I am now 14 DPO due on AF tomorrow 😳.
Took a test this evening & BFN 😩
I feel .... strange. Nausea for 2 days, burping, nasty taste in my mouth, sore boobs. Was very dizzy & felt hot & faint yesterday (even thought it was very hot) in an office with the AC on 😐.
Hope I am not looking into symptoms too much 😩.
I know we will be very lucky to have caught first month trying, but I am going to be so disappointed 😔.
Shall I test again the the morning, the day AF is due ? X

Yes definitely test again; your pregnancy hormones are still very low at this stage, if you are pregnant so a test may be a false negative. Test again in the morning and test maybe a few days later if still no AF. Fingers crossed for you 🤞🏼😘

Also, if it is not your month this month, download pregnancy plus (or another TTC app) and it'll tell you your fertile days so you know exactly when to try. I had this when I was TTC and I was lucky things happened quickly for us, because I knew when to get down to it haha! :)

SophSoph92 · 10/07/2018 20:32

Sorry, me again! Also, in the early days following fertilisation/ implantation, it's best to test in the morning as the mornings first urine will have higher concentrates of the pregnancy hormone; this could be another factor leading to a negative test if you are pregnant x

Thank you so much for your advise !
It's crazy, so much info when your new to this.
I was so upset when I saw the BFN, but I know I should wait until my AF is due or late.
I will do another test in the morning 🤞🏼

The wait is so hard 😩. Why do we do this to ourselves 😂

Honestly it feels like the longest two or so weeks in the world! And then for me my pregnancy felt like the longest in the world, but I've never been the most patient 🙈

LaurenH0893 · 11/07/2018 07:23

No AF this morning ... & a BFN 😔
Guess I'll just have to sit tight until AF arrives.
I'm using Morrison's tests, should I try another brand in a few days ? X

Not to burst your bubble (I already burst my own), but I felt the same as you over 10-14DPO this month. Nausea, dizziness, etc. Turns out I was just ill! 😂 don’t lose hope as there’s always next month. Good luck x

LaurenH0893 · 11/07/2018 07:38

I said to my partner ... what's the explanation to feeling the way I do 😩.
So confusing.
I usually get moody & sleepy & bad power back ache when AF is coming.
Nothing yet, just waiting for them signs 😐

LaurenH0893 all your symptoms are either pms or pregnacy. Both cause the same symptoms unfortunatly x

LaurenH0893 · 12/07/2018 07:40

@NoNotheresnolyrics
It's just all so confusing, especially being my 1st time.
AF hast arrived this morning so I'm 2 days late now 🤞🏼

LaurenH0893 It’s so confusing isn’t it! I’m about 3 years in TTC my first and I’m still clueless 😂. keep in testing as you may have ovulated later than you think. Good luck and keep us updated x

purplestar9 · 12/07/2018 07:48

@LaurenH0893 hi :) have you recently stopped the pill by any chance? My first cycle TTC I was convinced I was pregnant and was 5 days late, I then found that a lot of people have said after they stopped the pill they got all the symptoms of pregnancy in their first cycle.
I hope this isn't the case and you have been lucky and caught on quickly! I have heard some stories where some people haven't got a BFP until 2 weeks after their missed period so there's still a chance!

LaurenH0893 · 12/07/2018 08:20

@purplestar9
I came off my pill on the 9th March, we actively started trying in May. I wanted to get my cycle sorted first & give my body sometime.
The 1st month I came off the pill it was exactly what you said, AF was about a week late but I only had MAJOR sore boobs & nipples, knew I was pregnant though as we were taking precautions until my cycle was sorted.

A lot of the things I've been reading up on .... I am a big researcher 🙈. Know I shouldn't but I can't help myself !
People do say it took a while to get a BFP even when they knew they were pregnant.
I've ordered some different brand tests & will test again on Saturday if AF hasn't arrived 🤞🏼
