Trying to conceive after coil!

Hi all, I’m new to this website. I had he marena cool fitted for less than a year and had it out 2 weeks ago. How long before you start to ovulate?
I had a regular light period ever since having the coil fitted! I had it out on Wednesday afternoon and Wednesday morning I had started bleeding as it was my due on date! Bleeding was horrendous after having it fitted but not sure if that counts as a period!? I hope that makes sense? Any help greatfully recieved x

When we take coils out I tell the ladies they may well be fertile by the time they get home and to be careful! The fact you've had regular bleeds through out I'd suspect normal service to resume sharpish, you'll have to just wait and see (which is rubbish I know) but it does just depend, its minimal hormone though so if you're ready to ttc just crack on now

Hi, thank you so much for your reply! I’m so worried it’s not gonna happen! I’m 33 had a few issues with terrible periods had a small key hole op to remove retained placenta then had he coil fitted! X

Not an expert but I am currently using my 3rd coil.
DD was conceived 6 weeks post removal.
DS was conceived after 4/5 cycles. I had a withdrawal bleed shortly after removal and my periods returned the following month.
Having my coil removed next week to TTC DC3 so hoping normal service returns quickly. Plan is to jump DH as soon as coil removed

I’ve brought a fertility and ovulating kit from online but both negative!? X

Dont be fretting just yet, my periods were horrendous short leuteal phase, then diagnosed with lymphoma 1 yr of chemo (totally fine now) was told i may struggle to concieve post treatment, things didnt look great, I now have a 3 year old little boy and baby 2 is due tomorow!! Keep the faith and good luck xxx

I fell pregnant with ds2 3 days after having my coil removed. The only time that month we had sex.

@Snowysky20009 can I ask how you dated that pregnancy? did you date it from the date of conception or from your LMP? Did you scans and all that match up?
