Hi. I need help. I'm so confused. I have been charting my bbt. FF showed crosshairs at cd 14. Af never showed and BFNs. My temp stayed up and then this past weekend it slowly went down and this morning up again. I can't get to Dr at the moment as we find out we are relocating just a few days ago. So I just don't have time and had to cancel my appointment. Can anyone share some light what might be going on on my chart. Please. I'm so frustrated at the moment. I'm 26 dpo today.

Help. Dont know what's going on.

I understand your frustration. Mine have been similarly all over the place the last few cycles. Do you normally have long cycles?
I think it is probably unlikely you are 26dpo unless you are pregnant (which is unlikely bfns) It is possible you ovulated on day 24 which would mean you would be nearing Af/testing now, otherwise perhaps you haven't ovulated yet. It looks like your temp has just dipped so maybe you have just ov'd?
Do you use OPKs? I find them quite helpful alongside temping to give an idea of when you ovulate.

I did use opks last month but all negative. my cycles are normally 28 days. I felt like I was ovulating as my EWCM was definitely there. My sex drive was definitely high. And that dip could be. We took advantage of that whether or not I did ovulate or not. You never know. I did use opk but neg. What time do you find is the best time to use opks

Sometimes the body can gear up to ovulate (ewcm, temp dip etc) and then decide against it for some reason. It happened to me last cycle and then I ovulated much later.
How many opks are you doing per day? if you are using the ICs then I would do at least two a day or you could miss the surge. I would start on cd10 and I take one with FMU, one at lunch time and one at bed time.
There is a danger of getting too obsessed with it all though, which I don't think helps!

I think you're probably having an anovulatory cycle. Most women will have them at some point. You might get breakthrough bleeding at some point which can seem just like a period and can count your next cycle from that.
In my experience, doctors are unlikely to do anything unless it's been a few weeks and then they might give you something to induce a bleed.
Cycles like that are frustrating though, hope it ends for you soon and you get back to your usual cycle.

I emailed my Dr and she said I won't ovulate if I don't have my period and she wants to put me on progesterone. my question is and this is a silly question, if I don't go on progesterone, will my body still ovulate and I will get my period back? Or does it make sense that if I have no period I don't ovulate. My body probably just skipped a month I'm sure I will start one or other time. And she doesn't believe in temping either. I must use opks.
I will wait two weeks and see if this time I did ovulate this past weekend. If nothing happened I'll go on progesterone. Thoughts?

When I have anovulatory cycles, I tend to have a breakthrough bleed eventually but it can be anything from 30ish days to over 90. I've also had cycles where I've ovulated very late in my cycle. I ovulated around CD29 when I got pregnant with DS2.
I also find temping a lot more reliable than OPKs for ovulation. OPKs can only tell you your body is preparing to ovulate as they measure the LH surge not if you actually ovulate. Temping isn't an exact science as there's various things that can effect it but in my experience it gives a pretty good indication of whether ovulation has occurred.

I take my temping everyday at the same time. And I never get a positive opk. Anyway I'll wait until we have moved and I'll see what happens in the next two weeks. I'll try make a plan to be t to gyne to do tests to find out what's truly going on. My gp seems to have her own ideas about temping and I don't feel confident with her. I'd rather go to gyne. Thank you. I'll just wait it out and treat the next two weeks as the TWW. I appreciate your help.
