Positive or invalid OPK?

Haven’t used these for a while so I’m not sure, both lines look a bit lighter than I thought they should be, or they are ok and it’s positive?

It’s the first one I’ve done and I haven’t had a period yet since coming off the pill almost 3 weeks ago so I was a bit surprised and wary of that result.

Just got to try and muster up the energy in this heat to DTD!

The surge in hormones can last for a short time or a long time. It's also quite common to get surges and then not ovulate when you first come off the pill. It's your body trying to do for itself what the pill stopped it from doing or interfered with. This is why cycles coming off the pill can be unpredictable. Monitoring your bbt or using a Fitbit to monitor your baseline heart rate can help you confirm ovulation after the fact.

Thanks kate, I would have preferred a period to a positive OPK at this point. Want to know what my body is doing. I thought that it was possible that it’s actual ovulation and just my body sorting itself out, trying not to obsess but it’s just my nature!

I’ve caved and bought OPKs and IC tests but DH and I decided not to put any pressure on just yet so won’t go down the temping route just yet.
