Hey guys,
I'm a bit confused. me and other half have been ttc for a few months and recently after we've done the deed a couple of days after I've had stomach cramps and sharp pains. I feel like my stomach is being pulled from the inside. I've also been getting sharp twinges just below my belly button going down to pelvis area. I've been feeling like I need to vomit but nothing's been coming out just feel sick. My nipples are sooooo sensitive to touch, they are so painful atm. I did get a peak ovulation smiley on my clearblue around the time we did the deed so not really sure if its just really early pms or if you can get symptoms soon as you conceive? please let me know if you've ever experienced this!
thanks guys x

Maybe implantation? X

Confusedg1rl · 08/07/2018 10:56

it's only been a few days so was confused about whether it would happen so soon? my period isn't due until the 20th so I've got ages left

You can’t have symptoms before implantation because your body doesn’t know you’re pregnant yet! The egg implanting is what causes the hormone levels to rise.

You’re probably hyper-aware of everything your body is doing because you’re ttc. When you’re not, you don’t give it a second thought, so you won’t notice it.

Yakadee · 08/07/2018 11:01

I think they say it can happen any time from 5dpo but everyone is different I guess. I noticed when I started ttc I was very aware of everything. The first month I ttc I was convinced that was it, but didn't get my bfp that month unfortunately. I really hope this is the start of something for you x

PurpleFlower1983 · 08/07/2018 11:07

It’s probably psychological, I had every symptom going when first TTC.

PurpleFlower1983 · 08/07/2018 11:07

I really hope you get your BFP though!

Confusedg1rl · 08/07/2018 11:10

That’s what I’m thinking. we’ve been trying for months and this is the only months I’ve felt like this. I’ve been fine the previous months
We’ll see! Just need to wait a couple weeks I guess and find out

Fingers crossed for you!

Confusedg1rl · 16/07/2018 05:41

I got my bfp yesterday evening twice and once this morning.
I know it was too early for symptoms so not sure what any of those symptoms were. Still have majority of them now though! So never know

Wonderful Thanks

Mamabear4180 · 16/07/2018 20:09

Congratulations!!

People say you can't have symptoms until after implantation but it's not only HCG which causes symptoms, your body changes before implantation after the egg is fertilised regardless and it is different to other cycles. I have had signs of pregnancy from 3, 4, 4dpo etc and known well before a test told me!

NimbleKnitter · 16/07/2018 20:58

There is no way your body can sense a free-floating blastocyst.

It MAY be that conception is more likely in the months when you gave strongest ovulation symptoms - ie if your progesterone levels are particularly high, you are more likely to conceive, but it’s the ovulation giving you the symptoms, not the fertilisation.

Pudding01 · 17/07/2018 08:30

Congratulations @Confusedg1rl. May not have been implantation symptoms, but you certainly know your body! 😊
Could have just been a strong rise in progesterone that caused the nausea and tender breasts.

I'm 6dpo and have exactly the same feelings 🙈🤞🏻
I bet you're over the moon that it ended in a BFP! X

Confusedg1rl · 17/07/2018 13:03

Thank you @Pudding01
I am thrilled!
To be honest, now I'm not feeling so sick, just getting cramps as if my periods coming and still feeling like I've started due to feeling wet down there (TMI) but actually it's still dry lol

Good luck to you!! hope you get BFP soon!! xx

Thanks 🙂 How many DPO were you when you first started feeling different? X

Confusedg1rl · 18/07/2018 09:41

Honestly, I know everyone's going to say that it was in my head but I felt different probably a couple of days after predicted ovulation day. Something felt "different" and I knew deep down I was pregnant. But I knew everyone would say it's in my head so I kept it to myself

Pudding01 · 18/07/2018 09:53

Well, it clearly wasn't all in your head 🙂 x

Mamabear4180 · 18/07/2018 21:48

It's not about the blastocyst it's about hormonal changes and differences in your body. You can 'just know' but you have to be very in tune with your body usually. I've had 10 pregnancies (3 live births) and I definitely know the difference between a regular cycle and a pregnant one! It really irritates me when people say you can't know. Obviously be chilled about it all by all means but don't doubt it! I put a post on here about 2 years and 9 months ago saying I felt pregnant and everyone slammed me down but I was and she's 2.

NimbleKnitter · 18/07/2018 23:58

The science disagrees with you.

Pregnancy hormones are, initially, provided by the corpus luteum, which releases progesterone at ovulation.

It continues to do so for several days, at which point either the implanting blastocyst will release hcg, ‘rescuing’ the corpus luteum and ensuring it continues to produce pregnancy hormones, or implantation doesn’t occur, the corpus luteum dies and you get your period.

You can be as ‘in tune’ with your body as you like. You cannot know if you have a fertilised blastocyst before implantation. In fact, people who don’t get pregnant could have fertilised blastocysts every month, they just fail to implant.

Coffee330 · 12/02/2020 19:00

There are some things science has yet to prove... Studies are still ongoing and there are many things that are possible that have not been proven yet.

Franklydear · 12/02/2020 22:34

Congrats!! I am on a similar boat, I hope, had a bit of bleeding around period time, not much, but I don’t dare testing until at least Sunday

marshmellow7 · 13/02/2020 02:56

I had a metallic taste in my mouth a couple days after conception and just knew! I also felt implantation (which science and some mumsneters say is impossible 🙄) but got my BFP positive yesterday so some people are just more in tune with their bodies than others.

Good luck with your pregnancy Flowers

Franklydear · 13/02/2020 04:35

marshmellow looks like we found a ghost thread, I am waiting till Sunday to test, I am paranoid thinking it might all be in my head... or very ill

Anyone else have the same thing happen? I have never been pregnant before, was not ttc though we had planned to save up and try end of the year or next year. A week ago I randomly noticed boobs change (larger in size, and larger areolas), back aches, extra tired, and more nausea than usual (pre existing health condition). So I took in home tests. Got a faint very thin but definite line on one test but negative on all others so waited but then threw up for no good reason and noticed food aversion with food I normally love. As well as peeing like 4 times in 2 hours, extremely sensitive mood swings, sensitive smell, and very difficult about what I want to eat. So PCP did a blood test and it was negative so we know the line was likely just faulty. But then next day I started very light spotting on and off with mild cramps not nearly as bad as normal period cramps, and still happening now, third day of spotting I believe 3 full days now around this hour. Nothing ever made it to my underwear, only when I wipe, and it's either light pink or brown sometimes mixed in with white strands. My period would've been due around today but usually if I spot before period, full period would come right after at most a day never quite 2 days definitely not 3 full days. At home tests still show negative. But all the symptoms are still there. We walked into food court looking for lunch today and I had to try not to gag so I don't scare other people. I keep swinging from nope definitely not pregnant to this is completely different than anything I've experienced before and I've had scares before too but never like this. Whether pregnant or not we'll be happy but I just... Really wanna know what's going on with my body 😅
