Newbie to OPK's, advice please?

As the title says I've ordered my first opks they arrive Tuesday. Anything you'd wish you'd known at the start?

Dont think the worst when it doesn't show up and you think it should have. O on CD19/20 days 17&18 were worrying as I can next to no line on the test. Thought something was wrong.
