After several failed attempts to breastfeed my baby I decided to combination feed her breast milk expressed via machine and formula to supplement. I’ve been expressing milk for over a year now. I dearly want another child but at the moment circumstances are not right to have a second child. My question is; does expressing milk via machine make me more fertile or is it the opposite? I’ve tried to find a specific answer to this question on Google but can’t. There are articles to discussing breastfeeding and contraception but I don’t feel like that applies to me because I’m expressing milk. If it does increase fertility then I’ll carry on pumping until the time is right to try for a second child. If not then I will stop. I don’t want to give up until I know the answer to the question tho. Thank you for your help.
