Still no sign of period since coming off the pill!

2 weeks since coming off my pill and still no sign of a bleed!? Very odd as even if I was 12 hours late taking my pill I would have a breakthrough bleed. It's almost as if my body knows what I'm trying to do 🤦🏼‍♀️

Suffering with PMS type symptoms but no sign!

When we tried for DC1 6 years ago, my cycle resumed pretty much immediately although I was on the combined pill back then.

Any words of wisdom or someone please tell me to stop being so impatient as in the grand scheme of things 2 weeks is nothing.

I know it's frustrating but the GP wouldn't even investigate unless it's been 6 months..... hopefully it'll be a lot sooner! But it's considered normal time frame to take several months

HirplesWithHaggis · 05/07/2018 15:29

Is it possible you're already pregnant? When I stopped taking it to ttc I got cold feet after a couple of weeks and decided to go back on it after my next period, but ds1 was already there!

I couldn't rule it out completely so I did test with an IC last night which was negative which I'm fine with as want to make sure I'm in the best position from the off. Ideally wanted a cycle to resume.

Should've tested yesterday morning really for a clearer picture but if no sign by the weekend I'll test one morning for peace of mind.

Not sure how progesterone only pills effect the body in the long term?

If you came off the pill 2 weeks ago and you didn't wait for the withdrawal bleed, it could take some time? Have you done a pregnancy test?

stellarfox · 05/07/2018 22:50

2 weeks isn’t very long! It took me a few weeks before having a period. You could be pregnant though!

Rosepetals11 · 05/07/2018 23:19

It took me 2.5 months to get my period back!
I’ve only had 2 periods in the space of 6 months.

gossipgirl28 · 06/07/2018 14:58

Took me 6/7 weeks to get a period after the mini pill.

Cycles are very irregular and think I have only ovulated twice since (I temp)

Currently 7dpo after definitely ovulating this month on cd43 xoxo

MotherofKitties · 06/07/2018 16:48

Took me 38 days to have my first bleed after I came off the pill (I was massively starting to panic so I know what it's like!), a further two months for my cycle to establish itself and then we conceived.

Try not to worry too much OP, everyone's cycle is different and it can take months for it to come through Thanks

For what it's worth though, using ovulation tests worked great for me and my DH; I didn't ovulate for two months after coming off the pill but the first time I ovulated (correctly identified by the tests!) we got our LO Smile

Thanks for your reassurance. I am still waiting, thankfully the crampy stomach aches have now subsided and no longer as bloated!

4 weeks and still impatient 😆

I was 56 days coming off the mini pill before I got any period.

I came off Yasmin after 10 years of being on it. I had a withdrawal bleed the week after stopping taking the pill but nothing since...it's now been 10 weeks and no signs at all of AF. I wonder how long I should wait before seeking advice from GP? Confused

TeaIsTheCure · 19/07/2018 21:35

It took me more than 90 days to have a period although I had been on the pill a long time. I did get pregnant first cycle I had though.
