Clearblue ovulation and boots test strips

Hi guys
I took both tests as it’s close to when I’m supposed to be ovulating it’s now day 14. I’ve taken the tests but the Clearblue has the circle. I’m not sure if this is because I used a new holder as my previous one broke a few days ago.
Also I’m kind of confused about the boots test results as I’m not sure if it shows that I’m ovulating or not.
Please help if you have any idea.

I used both got pregnant twice only when the stick 2 lines are darker and same colour is ovulating
Clear blue I’d trust more
I did temp charts too which really helped

Good luck

Just so everyone’s aware I’ve now redone it and tried in the evening. I now have the smiley face non flashing which means it’s my peak fertility

That’s annoying it showed you low fertility and a positive test on the same day! Thanks for sharing!

Apparently from what I’ve read online it’s better to test in the evening? I’ve read posts just now that people test in the morning and it’s always low but they retest in the evening and it shows something completely different

It's because you used a new holder.

You also need to start using the CB tests from the appropriate day of your cycle as well (shown in the leaflet), not just use it on a random day close to ovulation as it needs a baseline to work with.

Apologies if that's what you were doing, but you said your other holder broke a few days ago so not sure you've been using it correctly.

Also, once you have a flashing smiley, you can start testing at other times of the day to catch your surge instead of just in the morning.

I did test it for days before but it broke and I had a few days between where I couldn’t use one. Then I got the new one and used it but for two days it had an empty circle. I used them first thing but then the day I felt like I would be ovulating soon I had a temp and I had a feeling it defo was that day so just retested in the evening and got a non flashing smiley face

Mine broke recently too and I had the same empty circle so I thought I wasn’t ovulating but maybe I was! So annoying. To be honest I mostly use the Internet cheap onestep ones now as you can see the change in line colour easier

You might have been ovulating you know. I’m never going to use the first urine of the day and wait until late afternoon or evening as with both the morning ones showed nothing but evening ones showed I was at peak fertility.
And I agree. I retested my boots one as well that evening and the line was a lot darker and I could definitely tell from the results i was ovulating.
Clearblue ones aren’t that worth it if I’m being honest. Does the same job as the strips but just more fancy packaging I guess?
