Genuinely in your heart do you 'feel' pregnant?

hopingfor · 04/07/2018 07:50

@Angelmiracle good question... I frankly don't know what I feel, think it's just AF coming as I don't even know what being PG would feel like. I wish I was those people
who "just know"

@hopingfor - I'm so sorry I didn't see you had replied to this a week ago! I would have replied!

I have DS but didn't find out until I was 8 weeks along - it took us 18 months and I had given up so wasn't looking for any symptoms! I got pain in back at kidneys which must've been implantation but didn't know what that was 6 years ago!!

Im in tww again and don't 'feel' anything at all and not sure if this is good sign or not.

I have just read that after ovulation You develop your mucus plug "made up of secretions that fill the cervical canal in early pregnancy and create a protective barrier – looks like raw egg white or clear mucus from a runny nose".

Though haven't heard many people having this!

How are you now?

hopingfor · 12/07/2018 09:08

@Angelmiracle hi I'm good thanks how are you!
Since last week I had AF and am currently on CD6... I usually ovulate late so hoping this month will be the one...I'm looking at doing reflexology as I read it could help regulate. What's your opinion on it?

As with all symptoms, some women get them, others don't. There's really no sure-fire way of knowing you're pregnant until you're late and get a positive test.
A lot of "pregnancy symptoms" are also associated with PMS, so symptom spotting can be a fun past-time but also a very unforgiving one and can be disheartening, so I would take it all with a pinch of salt.

I had a pregnancy earlier this year which didn't work out, but before my BFP I didn't feel pregnant; in fact I was convinced I was expecting AF which is why I didn't bother testing until I was a few days late.
Now I'm trying again, I don't think I'd know the difference between feeling pregnant and feeling like AF is imminent.

Reflexology can be nice. I trained as a reflexologist. There are several theories as to why it has health benefits; but if nothing else, it's very relaxing and feeling relaxed is helpful when TTC, so I say go for it! Any added bonus of helping you regulate would be great. :)

I ovulate late too - it was CD21 this month! I haven't looked into it for cycle regulating but I maybe will! I've been stressed in general the last few months and could do with something like that. I had it done when I was overdue with DS went into labour 3 days later. That could have been a coincidence but it was very relaxing.

I had acupuncture last month I'm not overly convinced it does anything except help me relax! I went to a kinesiologist 2 weeks ago who said I have the milk allergy so cutting it out for a few months to see if it makes a difference! She also suggested taking Agnus Castus for a few months too. I bought some in H&B but just realised the dosage is so low compared to years ago so ordered 1000mg off eBay.

It all costs so much money doesn't it? But willing to try!

hopingfor · 12/07/2018 09:49

@KnitKitty Hi, your right I'm going to give up on the symptoms as it drives me crazy I'm just going to wait for a late AF and only test then.
Aww you're a Reflexologists can you tell me when's the best time to do it a cycle is there a time? Before ovulating? Straight after AF?

@Angelmiracle I was looking at acupuncture too but heard people I spoke to had success from Reflexology but it's all calming measures which will help! (I hope)
Gosh your right it's all so expensive and adds up, but we all want this so much it will be worth it! I saw Angus cactus I may get it too... I saw one for 1000g that's too much I'm guessing? It also says to take with b6 not sure What dosage?

OP posts:
Angelmiracle · 12/07/2018 10:01

1000g?? Oh that sounds high. 1000mg more than enough! I took B6 for 3 months there - it lengthened my LP by 1 day each month 10, 11 and now 12! I haven't took any this month as there is some in my preconception multivitamin so hope its enough. It was the Lamberts 50mg B6 I took 1 daily x

I can do reflexology however I'm not a practitioner. I have thought about getting back into it though.
My instinct would be to start as your cycle starts and have a session once a week, preferably for 8 weeks (to cover a couple of cycles).

You need to drink plenty of water and avoid alcohol, caffeine or other stimulants when having reflexology treatment in order for it to work best. It helps drain toxins from your body (hence needing lots of water). It's also normal to feel slightly worse before feeling the benefits of the treatments while your body gets rid of things it doesn't need and puts itself more in balance. But I personally never got any unwanted side affects from it. :)

hopingfor · 12/07/2018 10:29

@hopingfor I'm 5dpo today. Feeling totally normal 🤣 First month doing SMEP 🤞

hopingfor · 13/07/2018 16:39

@Angelmiracle sorry for the silly question what's SMEP?

OP posts:
Angelmiracle · 15/07/2018 17:51

Hi sorry I just seen your message again!
SMEP is the Sperm Meets Egg Plan. Start dtd CD8 every other day so 8 10 12 14 etc. When you get a positive opk you dtd 3 days in a row skip a day and dtd one last time. There's a website detailing it too. I think just regular dtd is your best chance no matter what.
