Hello,
This is my first thread, so not too sure if I'm doing this right! Any help or advice is appreciated!!
Myself and my partner are 22, we both work and we live together and are financially stable.
Having thought we were pregnant in January this year when my period was 2 weeks late we realised we were ready to start a family. We were gutted when my period came two weeks late. 😭😭
We have been trying to conceive since then, I know when I ovulate, we have regular sex and I take folic acid.
We are just confused and worried as to why we haven't conceived yet, given our age and the stats for people trying to get pregnant.
I was just wondering if any of you have had similar experiences or any tips or advice??
Thank you to anyone who takes the time to read this and a massive thank you to anyone who may reply!!
Xx

It took us 7 months to conceive with our first child at 26. My friend a year. I fell pregnant a lot quicker second time around at we used one of those clear blue digital ovulation k its.Even though it was pricey I think it was more accurate and we conceived second month of trying. I know so many people where it didn't happen straight away. Try not to stress about it too much it will happen.

You only have about a 20% chance on conceiving each cycle so don't panic it is perfectly normal (although super annoying) for it to take a long time to conceive. Really you should give it up to a year before you start worrying about anything being wrong but that is easier said than done! Just keep trying and make sure you are having sex before ovulation and not waiting until ov day as you want sperm in there ready for the egg. It sounds like you are doing everything right though so good luck and I hope you get your bfp soon Smile

Agree with pp, we tried for a nearly a year and I was tracking everything but I think it actually happened when we had sex a bit before ovulation, rather than during. What are you using to track ovulation?

Thank you all for replying! It's great to hear that it took some of you over 6 months and is really reassuring! 😃
To start with, we bought some ovation tests off amazon, then used clear blue and I use an app called flo to track changes in my cycle etc and the combination of all 3 show I ovulate between day 16 and day 18 of my cycle (my cycle length varies so I expect this is why my ovulation varies too). We tend to have sex every other day more often than not, so I'm not too concerned about missing ovulation! Thanks again for replying!
