Help with ovulation - BBT and Charting

Hi all,

3rd cycle TTC #1 and begining of this cycle started taking my BBT and charting. I will admit it hasn't been easy.

What I am looking for is some advice from you kind ladies, to tell me when you think I have ovulated based on the charts and my symptoms. I am sure many of you are more experienced at this BBT charting thing, for me at the moment it makes no sense :(

Until today I was convinced I ovulated on 22nd or 23rd, started with watery mucous around 16th and quite heavy ewcm from 20th to 23rd. from 24th dry. On the 23rd I had what I thought to be ov pains (thats how I normally know I've ov'd).

Until today, the app I am using for BBT and Charting suggested the ovulation date as being the 25th. But today it's made its mind up that I have actually ovulated on the 28 according to my BBT.
I am honestly in bits as we kind of paused the BD after what I thought was ovulation, and not sure if we missed it or not.

Picture attatched is from today. Please note that I have started BBT on 4th day of the cycle.

Many thanks xx

I would have said you ovulated around 22nd too and then you have had what is called a slow rise? I am sure some more experienced help will come along with advice but it is probably just a waiting game now to see when AF turns up.
I would recommend doing opks too next cycle if you're not already as it gives you a better idea of when you ovulate.

Thanks for the reassurance FlapJackered. I forgot to mention that I had what I thought was a positive LH as well on 21st. Lets hope we're right and AF won't turn up :)

Would you recommend any apps for tracking ovulation? Was reading about Natural Cycles this morning, but have not made my mind up. At the moment I am using Femometer.

Fx'd for you!
I use Natural cycles and love it. I know a lot of people use Fertility Friend on here and say that is good too, but not heard of fernometer.
If you decide to go with Natural cycles you can get 10% off with this link:

Thanks a lot!
Will have a look later on.
I think Femometer is quite similar, but instead of the subscription you just pay one. It's juat annoying that it's done this thing with changing my ov date and its messed things up.

I'd say you O'd on the 28th,only reason being is that the next 3 temps are above cover line, it's a hard chart to read are you taking temps same time everyday first thing you do? X

Akasia · 03/07/2018 13:11

Lymphy the cover line moved up yesterday was much lower before that. I just dont get this app! is so frustrating.
I think I am more or less taking it same time, give or take a few minutes. I have woken up during the night a few times, don't know if this would affect it?

Nah it shouldnt do as long as its the first thing you do when you wake, I had a mare reading my charts temps were all over, I didnt factor in that i was taking oral temps and that im also a mouth breather when i sleep (and a noisy one!) so that can affect the numbers and give a few wierd ones I ended up vaginal temping made a huge difference (Some ladies dont like the thought though, cant see why as a bay is bigger than a little thermometer) I wonder why the cover line shifted? I used fertiltiy friend and found that app great x
