Hi everyone, I'm new to mumsnet.
I have a question for those of you (older or not) who are ttc

I have regular periods with a 27 day cycle and my periods always always last 4 days and start after a migraine. This month no migraine at all but extremely heavy painful cramping and red bleeding for 24 hours then nothing. Lots of pregnancy symptoms such as dull ache/pulling in tummy, frequent urination, sore boobs, couple of spots on my face etc.
My GP has tested for pregnancy, STD's, UTI's etc all negative. Awaiting blood test results for thyroid levels and awaiting date for an ultrasound. What do you think?
I'm either cd 13 or cd 40 depending on whether or not that short bleed was a period.

That seems like overkill to me? I've heard of many GPs who won't test for pregnancy and who will take no notice until three missed periods...

Has perimenopause been ruled out (sorry if that's rude, but it wouldn't be that uncommon with your age)?

Hi physicskate,

No it hasn't been ruled out (theydidnt discuss it either) I'm sure it's a possibility though. They have tested me twice for PG now without me requesting due to the ongoing lower tummy pains. They told me to wait another week and test at home again.
I've been using ovulation test strips for the last 3 days to see if I am ovulating around the time I would expect (or even at all) and nothing yet except a v faint line this morning.
