Im currently still bf my 10 month old. My periods still havent returned. Anyone managed to get pregnant while still bf?

If your period hasn't returned it's very unlikely unless you catch first ovulation, but it's impossible to say when that'll be. For me, I had to stop completely before I ovulated. I fed for 2 years and at the end was only feeding once every 2 or 3 days, but still didn't ovulate. Ovulated exactly 4 weeks after my last feed and then got pregnant the following month.

Some people start ovulating once they have a gap of 8 hours between feeds, or overnight and others if they increase their calories.

Hi I'm in the same situation, my DD is 8 months old and we've been having unprotected sex since about 6 months. I had one day when I had some spotting and brown discharge but that was it. I've had a few times when I've had EWCM but not as much as usual. Getting fed up as TTC with no indication of ovulation etc I still haven't had a period and my baby won't take a bottle .

Yea its hard. I know how u feel. Doesnt look like im ovulating yet, no sign of period starting. Had high first time for 10 days, no peak, so didnt ovulate. Really wanted babies close together in age.
My baby wont take bottle either.

It's frustrating isn't it. I have tried literally every single bottle possible. Even cups but she just doesn't want to know. We wanted a fairly close gap but it looks like that isn't going happen. Especially reading about women who haven't got there period back till 14 months PP. I only feed my little one 2-3 times during the day and 1-2 at night so probably a max of 5 times a day

I really hope it doesnt take that long for period to return. You just never know how long your body will take to return to being fertile again. I had never known before that bf stops your body from ovulating. Sucks.

I'm only feeding my baby at night now and still no period, getting lots of cramping though but still nothing. Think I might have to wean totally to get pregnant again

Hi @Kaye03, I wondered about this too! I'm currently only breastfeeding my 13 month old when she wakes during the night. I've been on the coil for ten months but had it out early this month - haven't had a single period since before I conceived my daughter but according to an ovulation test I took earlier I am indeed ovulating! We're not actually planning on trying for another until November but its nice to try to understand where your body is at.

Yeah I didn’t have a period until I had stopped every single feed. Not the same for everyone, but that was the case for me.

Cramps lately and loads of cm?! I don't feed her all day and have started trying to night wean. Just wish I knew what was going on x
