TTC after miscarriage - charting and heart rate (pic)

Hey guys. I had a complete miscarriage at 7 weeks, 3 weeks ago. It was our first pregnancy, and Baby stopped growing at about 5 weeks. 😔 I bled for 8 days, and started measuring BBT again after the bleeding stopped.

As we had no complications, I POAS 2 weeks after I started miscarrying and it was negative, so we started trying again that evening. No period in between.

I'm now 24 days post miscarriage, but have no idea where in my cycle I've ovulated if at all? I feel like my body's gone a bit craycray and was wondering if you could give any input?

I had a twingy pain near my right ovary at 11 days post miscarriage which felt a bit like ovulation, and had a bit of EWCM the day before. Annoyingly I only started temping on day 11 so not sure if there was any real temp increase.

FF thinks I ovulated on day 14 based on limited temping data. I USUALLY ovulate around day 15. Had more watery and EWCM leading up to this time.

HOWEVER. .. I then had a HUGE amount of EWCM on days 17 to 18 which is AFTER ff thinks I ovulated?

Also, when I first found out I was pregnant, I used my husbands fitbit (mine broke a few months ago) and found my resting heart rate was SUPER high. Its usually about 62-72 but had gone up to 85. I never measured it again after the miscarriage until this morning, but its now 95! Literally after being on bed all night.

I don't know if it went down in between because it's not my fitbit so I don't wear it every day, but has anyone else has this!? Does it sound more like a side effect of the miscarriage or do you think it could be another early pregnancy? It's never been this high in my life!

Ive attached my chart. If anyone could give me ANY insight into what the hell is going on I'd really appreciate it please. Do you think I ovulated? Can you tell when? Do you think I could be pregnant again? Argh this is all so confusing :(

Sorry Spooples, I can't help you out with this at all!
I just wanted to say, I got to know you a little from the due Jan 2019 thread we were on and am so pleased to see there were no complications with your miscarriage and that you are recovered enough to try again.
Keeping my fingers crossed for you x

I've had light cramping all afternoon... Aaaand now I've just noticed I've had light brown, watery discharge in my pants. I'm now even more confused. Could be implantation bleed? Or could be beginning of AF although it's 5 days early for my normal. (29day) cycle.

This miscarriage is messing with my body and my head 😭

I'm sorry about your MC 💐 I don't chart like you have so can't help there, though I do regularly use a Fitbit, and do find my RHR as measured by their rather unrealiable method varies with heat, stress, illness, etc. So I wouldn't read too much into it especially if you don't measure regularly. I weary Fitbit all night and it determines the RHR from the lowest points when I'm deeply asleep, so I don't know if you'd get an accurate measurement from just putting it on first thing in the morning.

I'm a bit ahead of you - MC in early may, and have already had one period, but not an expert in this at all! But what I would say is that the weeks after my MC untill AF came weren't normal at all. I'm pretty sure I didn't ovulate but did have some symptoms including lots of EWCM. Then when AF came it was spotting before it turned into a proper period. I ended up with a 30 day cycle whereas I used to be 28 exactly every time, but that was counting from the day my MC started and I'm not certain that is correct to count as CD1 - it sounds like this is what you've done too?

So the upshot of that is that I'd say you may not want to overthink this first cycle. If you get pregnant it's a bonus, if not then at least you'll reset the calendar and know where you are again a bit better, at least enough to have a good guess at when fertile week is likely to be. There is a lovely support thread on here which I just joined for TTC after pregnancy loss, come join too if you haven't already, you'll find plenty of supportive women there who might be able help decode what you're experiencing a bit more.

Thank you, Fuschia, for such a thoughtful and kind reply. I know in my heart I'm over thinking things but I'm just so desperate for everything to be okay again. I'm so sorry to hear about your miscarriage too, and really hope that you get your BFP again soon xxx

I know what you mean about wanting it all to be ok again and I'm confident it will be from everything I've read about just how common this is - but it takes time I think for most of us and that can be so hard to deal with - I am fine today but yesterday was bawling my eyes out on DH about how unfair it was (had seen a friend who was about the same due date as I was which was tough). This is never a path I wanted to walk down but the support I've found from the other women I've met here and in real life has been amazing. I just saw you've joined the other thread I mentioned already so will see you over there!

@Spooples I noticed the rise in rested heartbeat in my last pregnancy too. It went up about 10bpm and dropped a few weeks after my MC. I think, as it's so elevated by comparison that this is probably something to do with the heat. Keep an eye on it over the next couple of days and see if it stabilises or if it's just a blip. Good luck!

Just an update incase anyone experiences the same and Googles this in future...

Chart did this, heart rate stayed abnormally high, and then last night I got my BFP!

When I saw your first chart pic I thought it looked like a pregnant chart! Congratulations!! 🌈

Gemsie1984 · 06/07/2018 10:33

PS I think you OV two days later than FF indicated x

Spooples · 06/07/2018 19:03

Thanks @Gemsie1984! I think so too re: ovulation. I wonder why they put it there?
