Sorry if a tmi type question but does anyone else not really have any?!

Fertility friend has options for dry/sticky/creamy/watery/egg white. No idea how anyone differentiates?!

I use creamy or watery as mines pretty much only those two or nothing at all 😂 watery at O and creamy usually pre and post O. I never get egg white! I use FF too.

I literally get nothing!! It is crazy what ttc makes you examine Grin

@Ells0204 just out of interest which method to you use to know when you ovulate? Opks or bbt?

Mine increases massively when I drink grapefruit juice in the first half of my cycle. I've seen other people mention the same.

I don't know why, but might be worth a shot?

79andnotout · 29/06/2018 07:36

Also I pretty much only get mucus in my fertile week, I see nothing any other time. All my mucus seems egg whitey.

OPKs only! BBT is a faff for me and I’m not a morning person. I’m halfway through my shower before the thought even enters my mind and by that point it’s too late 😂 I’m quite lucky that my cycles are quite regular and OPKs seem to work really well for me personally. I also get very obvious O pains!

I might try the grapefruit juice thing though, thanks PP for bringing that up! X

@79notout thanks for the tip, I will have to get some! How long have you been ttc, if you don't mind me asking?

@ells0204 that's funny re bbt Smile I may try both next month just out of interest, still trying to dtd every other day in the meantime. What does ovulation pain feel like??

@Pebblesandblamblam - about a year now, but not consistently (OH isn't massively sold on the idea of having kids and hasn't always cooperated with dtd in fertile week, and we had a break for a bit when he started a new job). Relatively on track now though, and he's back on board. I should say I never wanted kids and it was never part of our plan, but I changed my mind when I got to age 35, so he's had some adjusting to do.

Pebblesandblamblam · 02/07/2018 19:13

@79andnotout that's really interesting, there are so many different dynamics to think about, life is so much more complicated than you ever envisage. Its is such a huge decision and obviously essential you are both on board. Even though we have always said we want kids, been together 6 years, it weirdly felt like my dh needed some "convincing" when the time came. It's not easy and I think more difficult on the person who has to carry the baby, necessitating more of a mental adjustment earlier in the process. Also so hard when there are only a few precious days in the month to take your chances if one party isn't playing ball, it's like time is slipping past. Glad things are on track for you, have everything crossed it's easy from here!

@Pebblesandblamblam - yes, OH's view is that most men don't come round to the idea until it is actually happening, but reading other posts on mumsnet it seems lots of women don't agree and that if your OH doesn't feel fully on board you shouldn't be pressuring them. I think we've reached a happy medium now though, where he will cope if we do, and I will cope if we don't, so will let nature take its course! I'm nearly 39 so it's all a gamble now!

Good luck anyway, let me know if the grapefruit juice does the trick! I have either fresh or carton for about ten days before ovulation, either seemed to do the trick.
