Bleeding at CD13

Hi all, I'm not due to ovulate until CD15 and my period is usually regular but today I've just had bleeding and pains which has freaked me out a bit as this has never happened before. I did a quick google but I'm a bit scared to search any further. I did see that sometimes if we were a bit rough doing the BD it can happen, which happened a couple days ago. I'm not sure what else could be causing it :( Anyone had this?

What kind of pains?

I've had bleeding from my cervix before which was very dramatic but not related to my cycle at all. I don't think I had pains then.
I do think I've had crampy AF type pains and bleeding after cervical smear so might be that things are feeling a bit sensitive up there?

It would be worth going to see your GP for peace of mind. Anything unusual is best to get checked out. But bodies do weird things all the time!

P.S. Have you taken a pregnancy test to rule it out?

It feels sharper than usual cramps and more at the front. Have been doing OPS for past few days and only today were the lines getting darker, have not tried a pregnancy test though but I assumed it might show on the OPK.

I think some women bleed a bit with ovulation? But I think it's usually more like spotting.
What was this bleeding like? Has it stopped again?

CookieWaffle · 28/06/2018 20:53

Yes it seems to have gone down to a few spots after a couple hours, tho I still have the pains. Also thanks for listening to my panics :)

No problem, I'd have panicked too.

I would still go and get checked out by the doctor though, even if it stops as it is unusual bleeding and it's best to just be sure nothing is going on that needs medical attention.

I got a lot of mid cycle spotting. After a few months of it I went to the gp. It might just be a one off, and also apparently some women do have an ovulation bleed. Is your smear up to date? That will be the first thing they ask!

Mine seems to be caused by an issue with my cervix but haven't got to the bottom of things yet.

Thanks @79andnotout, we tried BD again this morning and I was sore so perhaps that was just it. Bleeding seems to have stopped at least.
