Breastfeeding affect ovulation test

Im currently breastfeeding my baby, i havent got my period back yet. I did a clear blue advance ovulation test. Been 9 days now, still have a flashing smiley face. Is breastfeeding affecting the test, maybe giving me a false reading?

I didn't use the digital opks but I used the strip ones while breastfeeding before my period came back and for about 7 months straight I had "almost positive" lines. I think my body was trying to surge/ovulate but never managed to hit the mark due to breastfeeding.

Wow, ok, maybe i should stop testing then. Got excited when i first saw the high. If you dont mind me asking, did you have any symptoms of ovulating?

I had ewcm quite frequently. It was so frustrating. I'll post a pic of the type of lines I would get every week or so. I always had a relatively dark line. Now that I'm actually ovulating I get very faint lines through my cycle and only darker ones when I ovulate.

Btw obviously you CAN ovulate when breastfeeding, I just didn't. I had to completely stop at 19 months and my cycle came back 4 weeks later.

BUT I am probably in the minority as most of the time cycles come back after starting solids/dropping feeds/no night feeding etc. How often are you BFing?

Im not breastfeeding everynight. During the day about 5-6 times. I havent got my period back yet. Tried again this morning, now 10 days of high. Thinking i may have missed my peak or havent ovulated.
