I'm 28 and getting married soon and we're starting properly in late September. I'm excited and scared and broody and obsessive.

AF due soon and planning to start charting a few months in advance and have my special thermometer ordered from Amazon.

Bought pre conception vitamins for us both.

Ovulation sticks and tests on the way.

Baseline bloods all lovely.

Eating all the right things.

Anyone else this crazy enthusiastic?

Have your DH get a sperm test.
Saves a lot of trouble to know he’s not firing blanks (speaking from experience)

Good luck and have fun.
Oh and if it’s not fun, don’t do it.

Obsessive trying can wreck your sex life so do make sure to have lots of down time and intimacy with no strings attached.

Thank you, will definitely consider the jizz analysis.

Will bear the rest in mind too. Thankfully he's as bad as I am!

Jizz analysis hahahaha.

I feel like I'm a bit obsessed too lol but in my head I'm just doing what I can for the healthiest quickest conception lol. I take seven seas trying for a baby tablets, drink grapefruit juice, have just been delivered some pre seed to try this month and Iv been chosen to do the clearblue trial this month so im going to be finding out my fertile days also.
Iv bought dp some wellman conception vitamins and hoping they go down well when I give them to him. He's a more take it easy see what happens kind of person. Lol. He did say he wanted to be as healthy as he could for this though. It's my 2nd and his 3rd, we've been together for over 10 years so we've waited a while and long gap as our previous children are all teens now! I'm only 30 though. Iv never actively ttc before so I find it quite exciting.
Good luck!

I'm the same! Very obsessive personality and struggled with OCD (diagnosed)
Actually about to start trying for my second but I know the excitement will take over.
Embrace it!

I'm not alone!

Must start a TTC box of all my TTC stuff. Could even recycle the box as a cat toy if I get pregnant. Grin

Hello :) thought I’d join the discussion as I’m in the same boat as you! Age, wedding soon, ttc in a couple of months! Don’t think I’m as organised though!

ValidUser · 26/06/2018 22:16

Hello Chanel! Welcome to the boat.

“TTC and obsessive by nature” - that’s literally me in a nutshell! Grin
I’m only on cycle one at the moment of TTC and already I’m finding it’s constantly on my mind. Don’t know how I’ll survive the TWW!

You’ve come to the right place! Smile

HidCat · 27/06/2018 07:46

@ValidUser you're in the right place! I would firstly get yourself a preconception vitamin or at least folic acid to take from now. After the wedding then you can go all out if you want to with opks, BBT monitoring etc but as @Underbeneathsies said, try not to pass the crazy onto your OH. Stress is not good for babymaking. I would say keep everything in your box until you've been trying for a couple of months so you don't impede newly married life with it all, then you can justify being more proactive. Someone on another thread recently put out their version of OCD - Obsessed with Conception Disorder! It's so true lol

ValidUser · 27/06/2018 08:10

Thanks people!

Already on the vitamin. Blush

We're together years and he's used to me at this stage. A wise book, talking about OPKs, advised me not to try seducing him with items I've done a wee on.

So the monitoring starts! AF arrived as planned. This gives me 3 prep cycles before trying. Planning to monitor CM/BBT and use a few OPKs from about day 9.

We started our his/hers vitamins yesterday. Romantic stuff. Hmm
