Does late ovulation mean late AF?

Hi all - tying myself up in knots so wanted to see if anyone could help.

My cycle has been a bit all over the place since a MC in Feb - only by a few days.

According the app I am using I should have ovulated around June 8th but I think it was actually about a week later - it felt like it normally does and I tried an OPK which said I was in my highest fertility (the static smiley face) - but that's the only one I've ever used so don't know how accurate it is?

AF should have been here yesterday but no sign. Have had cramps and bloating and sore boobs all week which could be either AF or early pregnancy related.

Does anyone know if ovulating a week later would mean AF being a week later? Am desperate to be pregnant but trying not to get ahead of myself...and have no pregnancy tests to POAS first week of the day tomorrow!!!

Yep. If you ovulate late, your period will be correspondingly later. The time between your ovulation and period is generally pretty static. It's only the time between your period starting and ovulation that can vary a lot.

Hi @brianodriscoll - yes this exact thing happened to me. I ovulated over a week late after a vv early miscarriage. My period was late by the exact number of days that my ovulation was late by. (So technically my period was over a week late if my cycle had been the same length as usual and I didn’t know when i ovulated)
I am also trying to get pregnant so got obsessive with peeing on a stick, but I didn’t count AF as being late as I knew I’d ovulated late.
Basically whatever your lp usually is - is is v likely to remain the same.
Fingers crossed for you this month xxx

Thanks @Celebelly and @Firsttimer16 means I can try and put it out of my head until next weekend...or try to anyway!
