Until 2 yrs ago my cycle was always atound 31 days and period lasted around 5 or 6 days light flow at beg and end and a few says of average flow (sorry tmi).

I have a 6 year old and periods normal agter birth.

Suddenly 2 years ago periods reduced down to 2 or 3 days duration. Now its barely 2 days..

very light flow. I'd love a 2nd baby but nows not right time.. my actual cycle is now a little shorter.. 28 days most months.

Im not on the pill and havent been for years

I asked dr and she said nothing at all to worry about .. she said sometimes that just happens??? I mentioned to nurse and she said maybe natural fertility decline after 35. Im scared im going into menopause??

Has anyone on here experienced the same and still conceived no problen? (I know pregnancy is poss in menopause but im not ready for this!.. in so upset).

I'm 25, so can't comment on my own experience, but when you go through menopause, your periods tend to become further apart, not closer, until they no longer happen.

It could be you're going through some hormonal change. Going on the pill for a few months might settle that, but these are things only your GP can advise on. If he's already cleared you, then I wouldn't worry! :)

(ps. I'd looove a 2 day light period. Mine are 7-9 days long and excruciatingly painful!)

Op it’s unlikely to be actual menopause at your age but it’s possible that your age is affecting your lining and cycles. If I were you I’d go to get hormone testing at your gp. It’ll give you an idea of where you’re at. I’d also be looking into ways to build up lining online. I believe acupuncture can help as well as certain foods and drinks like raspberry leaf tea, pomegranate juice etc.
As a 42 year old struggling to conceive I have to say, don’t wait! Crack on if you can. It’s heartbreaking when you feel you’ve left it too late.
