Hi all, just looking abit of adivce, i suffer from pcos .. one month tomorrow i had a d&c after MC at 9 weeks! As i have never taken a period i decided to try ovulation tests to know when i was ovulating! I have been using them for the past 6 days, same time every day and everyday they have showed 2 lines but they have never got extremelly darker or lighter! Just around the same! So basically i have 6 ovulation tests thay are the same! Also i could swear i ovulated exactly 2 weeks after the d&c which was 2 weeks ago so im not sure what is going on! Has anyone had the same problem????

Opks might only show a positive when you have a lutenising hormone surge. This tends to happen 12-72 hours before ovulation. (Though many people also get a surge just before the start of af). So if you take an opk after ov, it should be negative. Also if you take an opk before the surge, it should be negative.

Sorry for your loss.

Generally people ovulate 11-14 days before af arrives.

My friend has PCOS and her doctor told her opks don’t work for people with PCOS, could you check with your doctor? Xx

I have PCOS. I tortured myself with those sticks for months - utterly useless. Start temping and tracking using an app - far more accurate. I'm now pregnant with #2. I never ever got a proper positive on the OPks even on clomid. Good luck!

Thank you for your reply! Spoke to my gp today who told me not to bother with the sticks! What do you use to temp with? I dont kmow much about it. Congrats to you!! :)

I just found it sent me mental and it never worked! I use/d fertility friend. Get a basal thermometer- needs to have two decimal places. Excellent guidance and a way of charting all relevant info. Also removes the confusion with PCOS as the temps can't be affected by it! Thank you!
