Hi everyone!

Seeking a bit of help, I’ve had quite intense mittelschmerz/corpus luteum pain on my left side for the past 2 days. I thought it may be a cyst...but as of today I am CD9 so a really strange time in my cycle to feel that? The pain started on CD7-8. It’s not intense like I have to take painkillers, but I recognise it. I did an OPK just now and can’t decide if it’s negative, positive or almost positive...if there’s such a thing?

The strange thing is I have on average a 31 day cycle so typically won’t O until CD18, the earliest ever was CD15. Surely I can’t be about to O on CD9! Even as I type this now I have the pain coming back.

What could be going on, anyone have any clues?!

NB pretty sure I’m not PG. Just had a 7 day typical non-mistakeable AF, and I did actually take a Wilko test during because I felt weird, but unsurprisingly it was BFN (bit of a POAS addict here!)

X

Took this 1 hour later and it’s definitely negative. What on earth happened...

Your body could be gearing up to ovulate but then not manage it so will gear up again in a few days. Do you temp?
Apparently the pain that people associate with ovulation can actually be something that happens before ovulation due to follicle growth.
Sometimes bodies are just weird though and cycle timing changes!

Your urine will be diluted in the second pic. I would only really test twice a day one in the morning and once at night. I don’t think the first test is quite positive, I would test again in 4 hours and see. You might be ovulating a little early this month ether way I would get dtd as much as possible today and over then next week x

Thanks @NoseringGirl

Temping is just about the only thing I don’t do! Which is silly I know as it’s the most reliable haha. I’m just not a morning person and I do it for like 2 days then I forget...
The thing about follicle growth makes sense. I heard of cysts forming after ovulation however it I could just be feeling a big oestrogen surge for a nice healthy eggy! I have been craving sugar like never before so I think I’m just feeling the hormones this cycle I guess!

Thanks for responding 😄 x

Sorry I’ve just read the 2nd post too. Yes typical POAS-aholic I should have waited haha. I’ll do one tonight and then see what it’s saying tomorrow too! Funny things our ovaries!
