Hey I'm 6 dpo today and this 2ww is going so slow because I actually think I might have a chance this month! Fingers crossed.
Due on 28th/29th so still over a week to go 😭
How about everyone else? How long have you got in your 2ww?

Hi everyone!

I'm 4DPO, TTC #1 following a miscarriage in April. No success last month so it's hard to not feel deflated, but I'm feeling strangely optimistic about this month!

tigerroundfortea · 21/06/2018 19:54

Ah hoping it's everybody's month 😊 those of you that are trying for no 2 or 3 etc did you have uneventful pregnancies last time ?

alicepol · 21/06/2018 20:00

Here's hoping it's everyone's month! Let's all try and stay optimistic together!
I'm trying for dc2. Uneventful pregnancy apart from having group strep b positive and going over until 42+1 before being induced.

Hi it's great to have people in the same boat! We're ttc #1 and this is only my 1st cycle so all very new and weird! Only 1 dpo(I think) so not quite sure what to expect! Do people usually think it's worth testing before waiting the 2 weeks?

alicepol · 21/06/2018 20:03

Some people get positive tests from 10dpo but it's up to you. I am trying to wait out the 2 weeks so I'm not doing numerous tests but I have a feeling I will cave a little earlier haha

Is po after the first or last day of ovulation?

8DaysAWeek · 21/06/2018 20:19

@tigerroundfortea you only ovulate on one day. The actual act of ovulation is a single event - when the egg pops out the ovary! So dpo is the amount of days after the day that happened

HidCat · 21/06/2018 20:28

@tigerroundfortea first pregnancy for me was great. Like @alicepol I also had Group B Strep so had three days in hospital which I actually liked. 2nd pregnancy unfortunately ended in MC at 11wks. Hoping for a positive experience third time around.

Miss83 · 21/06/2018 20:53

Hi guys, can I join?.... After due 27th. On cycle 20 trying for #1. Gave up in tests a long time ago lol. I used to be hooked on testing though when we first started.

Oooohh hidcat you'll have to tell us if it works. I'm tempted to try grapefruit juice my next cycle (see already given up hope for this one) sad times.... Have period cramps already.

tigerroundfortea · 21/06/2018 21:10

Thanks @8DaysAWeek
Hi @Miss83 fingers crossed for you this time round

alicepol · 21/06/2018 21:15

@tigerroundfortea unfortunately not I had a nightmare pregnancy last time- PGP, Gestational Diabetes, Reduced Movement, Morning Sickness, Steroids, Induction- but I would do it all again in a heartbeat as the bundle of love at the end is totally worth it 😂..... I'm not sure I will be saying that when 6 months pregnant though haha

rachelvbwho · 21/06/2018 21:29

And Group B strep... how could I forget that one as well.....

Miss83 · 21/06/2018 21:35

Thanks both, just been refered to a fertility clinic but my GP said a lot tend to catch while waiting to go so fingers crossed.... Fingers crossed for you guys to!

Juju4dd · 21/06/2018 23:45

Cool thanks Smile

alicepol · 22/06/2018 08:32

8 dpo today a feeling very naesous. Is that even possible? I feel like it's too strong to be imagining it but surely it's too soon to get any symptoms anyway?

Morerainplease · 22/06/2018 08:49

Hello, I'm 8 dpo so will test early next week I think.

I also had group b strep in my first pregnancy but they didn't find it until after the birth so ds had to go on antibiotics for a couple of days. Those of you that had it, was it found during your pregnancy and if so what did they do differently? I'm not sure what the likelihood of having it again is but I'm curious as to whether they test for it during pregnancy and are able to do anything about it.

HidCat · 22/06/2018 09:40

@Morerainplease mine was found during a 36week urine test. I was told that I would have antibiotics once in labour that had to be administered 4 hours before the baby was born to be effective. Unfortunately it was 1.5 hrs in the end so we had a three day stint in hospital whilst baby had his course of antibiotics but I actually enjoyed the stay!

Morerainplease · 22/06/2018 09:48

Ah okay thanks. Mine was born at 34 weeks so we possibly missed out on a testing stage. I'll definitely ask them to do extra urine tests next time (although the last one was a quick labour so there wouldn't have been time to do the antibiotics anyway!).

HidCat · 22/06/2018 10:55

In my second pregnancy I made sure it was written on my notes that my I had Group B Strep so it would be considered this time. The midwife wrote in capitals across the front page! Definitely keep on about it.

rachelvbwho · 22/06/2018 19:05

They found that I had GBS when I had a test done because of unusual discharge. I had to be on antibiotics in labour and we stayed in hospital after for 3 days for my baby to get a full course of antibiotics too. I will really push for testing/treatment in a second pregnancy because of how serious it can be.

tigerroundfortea · 22/06/2018 19:47

I had an emergency section after failure to progress with my first and a planned section at 34 weeks with my second but that was due to complications and I had to be put to sleep for both. Hoping for a normal delivery this time or at the very least at least to be awake for a section!

starsandstuff · 22/06/2018 21:56

How is everyone? I had heartburn today which made me think oooh, even though it's more likely because it was my birthday yesterday and we went for a fancy pants afternoon tea and I stuffed my face (well I wanted to give DP value for money) Grin

RanchoRelaxo · 23/06/2018 07:52

Hi everyone, I'm 2dpo today ttc#1 I have a shorter luteal phase though so am due to come on around the 30th. I have got a stash of cheapy internet tests that I can't help using most days from 7dpo haha
Wishing everyone the best of luck this month! Grin

HidCat · 23/06/2018 08:04

@starsandstuff glad you had a fab birthday!
