Often FRER tests seem to be mentioned- is this the first response brand? Or clearblue early detection? Any other suggestions x

First response early response (so FRER, first response brand) are the best if you’re testing early, they also do a rapid response but I think that they’re less sensitive (I got a bfp on one 2 days before AF was due). However if you’re testing after your AF is due pretty much any brand of test will show a positive, I’ve heard super drugs own are very good.

Pink dye are generally considered more reliable than blue dye tests as blue dyes are more prone to evaps and dye runs.
Digitals are great as no real room for error and confusion of faint lines, evaps etc. They tend to be less sensitive though so may show a negative when you'd get a faint second line on another test.
As coffeekittens says though, they're all pretty similar in reliability once you're past AF and getting stronger lines.
