TTC / Ovulation after mmc

Hi everyone.

Sorry if a similar thread to this has already been done.

I sadly miscarried 3 weeks ago, I was 11 weeks gone so needless to say both me and dh were heartbroken as we had been trying for 6 months before finally having our bfn.

My main question is how soon is too soon to try again? I don’t want to seem that I’m already over loosing our first but I honestly feel like getting pregnant again is the only thing that will help us both.

Anyway, dtd last night (first time since mmc). Woke up this morning and randomly decided to do Ovulation test and there’s a still smiley face, so peak Ovulation! Is this normal to ovulate so soon after or is the test wrong?

Also if we did happen to catch this month would it be too soon? I’m quite worried now.

I’m now 10 weeks pregnant having had a mmc 12 weeks ago so it’s definitely possible

Firstly, sorry to hear about your MMC Drs will generally recommend having a period in between but that’s only really for dating purposes if you do fall pregnant! There’s nothing to suggest your body isn’t physically ready immediately, only that you are mentally ready. I say go for it!

One thing to suggest gently though, do you know your HCG has definitely gone from the last pregnancy? HCG can cause a positive OPK. The Dr suggested to me to wait for a completely negative pregnancy test before trying again. Sorry if you have already done all this, but that caught me out after my first MC! X

I’ve just found out that I’m pregnant after a MMC in April. I waited until I had a period after my MC has passed though as ovulation tests can detect pregnancy, have you had a negative pregnancy test yet? If you haven’t had a negative pregnancy test yet I’d be doing one ASAP just to check that all of the pregnancy hormones have gone.

I’ve just remembered that the dr told me to wait until Friday to do a pregnancy test to make sure that all the hormones have gone. So it might actually be that. On the other hand though I have been having white cm this is what made me do the Ovulation test.

I think I’ll just try not to think about it this month and if it happens it happens. But if it doesn’t I’ll start trying ‘properly’ after my first period. I just wanted to make sure that if I did become pregnant there wouldn’t be any risks.
