Should I test now??

Looking for any advice please!
I go on holiday on Saturday, my period is due Friday / Saturday. I’m planning on taking norethisterone to delay my period. However, I’ve been so bloody tired for the past 4 or so days and I have incredibly sore armpits and boobs - which never ever happens before my period normally. Obviously I’m wanting to test before I start taking my norethisterone, but would tomorrow be too early to even pick up a pregnancy on a FRER?? HELP!

If you have had unprotected sex then I would test. Or not take it to delay my period.

We’ve been TTC, I was just planning on taking norethisterone because my period cramps can be quite bad so didn’t want it to ruin my holiday. I really feel like this month is THE month though. Just don’t want to get a negative early and end up taking the tablet and it affecting the pregnancy

That would be my worry,especially if you are TTC. And it will mess up your cycles for when you start trying again. I would test and not take it,and just take adequate pain relief for the cramps.

Have you used Northisterone before?

I used it last year and reacted very badly to it. It was like my body was trying to have a period without bleeding. I had cramps just as bad as my period for several days and I stopped using it. Just a word of caution if you haven't used it before. I actually would have rather just had my period.

Yeah I’ve had it before and it wasn’t too bad! Only ever took it for a few days though. Beginning to think it’s not a good idea to have it this time just in case.

Test before you start taking it. Use a good test like a first response though.
