Conception After Depo

I had my son in 2016 and after went on to the Depo Provera injection, my partner and I decided we want to try for another baby so I didn’t go for my top up in April, so my last injection was in January 18, i keep going through random feelings, such as feeling bloated, general discomfort, pimples and boobs aching or being tender, I’ve also had a day with really bad period cramps but spotted for around 5 mins and since then I’ve had nothing, so I was wondering if this was a sign my body was returning to normality and I should get my period soon... I’ve also done pregnancy tests and they negative.

Return to Fertility: There is no evidence that Depo-Provera causes permanent infertility. Pregnancies have occurred as early as 14 weeks after a preceding injection, however, in clinical trials, the mean time to return of ovulation was 5.3 months following the preceding injection. Women should be counselled that there is a potential for delay in return to full fertility following use of the method, regardless of the duration of use, however, 83% of women may be expected to conceive within 12 months of the first "missed" injection (i.e. 15 months after the last injection administered). The median time to conception was 10 months (range 4-31) after the last injection.

I understand what manufacturer says, I was more asking for people’s personal experiences with regards to things returning to normal

In my personal experience (people I know) it has taken ages for periods and ovulation to return

10 years. Wish I'd never fucking had it in the first place

I mean it took me 10 years to conceive after I'd stopped injections

Oh wow, I was just wondering if how I was feeling was related to it coming back or not

I honestly don't know. I used to beg for those feelings, I had nothing. Maybe 4 periods!
