Any other reasons for Mid Cycle spotting?

Hi - I'm very new to these forums so apologies if I don't get the terminology correct!

We are TTC and I'm experiencing mid-cycle spotting/brown CM with light cramps. I want it to be Implantation bleeding, but its too early to take a test so just wondered: what other reasons could there be for this spotting and cramping?

I stopped the pill on 23rd May, cycle started on 27th May (CD1), I felt mittelschmerz on 4th May (CD9) and had other signs of ovulation despite this being early on, then had spotting/brown CM on 9th May (CD14) lasting two days and light cramping which has now lasted four days (CD17).

Apologies if this has been asked elsewhere but I cannot find anything. I'm 27, not on any birth control, medication, herbs etc. I've been on the pill for over 10 years so actually cannot remember if I have regular periods or the length of my cycle. Never had any symptoms of PCOS or endometriosis, but again with being on the pill such a long time who knows!

Thanks very much.

Hi OP this sounds like your body adjusting to coming off the pill. After ten years you're bound to get some side effects from coming off it. Take a test when you think AF is due although being your first cycle you probably won't know when that it, so I'd just test on CD28.
