Hello Everyone!

So, my first post, here goes!! (please be nice haha)
Just looking for some advice really, had a good mooch around the previous threads, but wanted some more direct advice from you lovelies! As well as using the opportunity to say Hi! and hopefully begin some more frequent posting of my journey!

Okay, Ill stop rambling! So if you're still here, thanks!

Basically my and my partner have not decided to actively try for our first baby. I haven't taken any contraception in 2 years, but also have mild PCOS (no cysts, just symptoms!)
No one can tell me whether I will have trouble conceiving, but they can't say I wont either!

Some months I have my period like most people expect (28 day cycle, on for around a week) but then sometimes, I have huge gaps between (up to 5 months) and they are horrendously heavy!

We are not in month 2 of TTC, and AF left me last Thursday ( a week ago today). For the past 3/4 days I have had bad cramping in my lower left hand side of my abdomen, never had anything like it before.. Its bearable, in comparison to my usual AF cramps.
Due to my periods being stupidly erratic, I end up getting my hopes up every month that I am late.. But now I have this cramping, could this mean something else??

Or am I just over analyzing things again?? I ovulate every month, even if AF doesn't show! (She turns up with a vengeance a few months later!)
I just feel a little clueless and don't want to start getting my hopes up or stressing for no reason.

Any advice would be really appreciated!
I am so sorry this is such a ramble post, I need to get better at this sort of thing!

Hi, i don't have a lot of experience other than browsing threads but sounds like you just had your period so unlikely that symptoms will present within 7 days of that... Could potentially be ovulation, are you tracking at all? Try tracking even if you have irregular periods, when it is regular you will know what's happening.

Good luck on your journey!

Could be ovulation pain - it can last a few days.

Also you aren't ovulating every month if you aren't getting a period. If you ovulate you will either have a period 10-15ish days later or you are pregnant. If you are only having periods sporadically, you are only ovulating sporadically.

How have you been tracking ovulation?
